The 2015 Tribeca Film Festival (TFF) sponsored by AT&T, has come to a close; and to wrap things up the winners of two Audience Awards were announced. Two awards – one for narrative and one for documentary – were given to the audience choices for the best films. King Jack, (cast pictured above) directed by Felix Thompson, was chosen to receive the Narrative award and TransFatty Lives, directed by Patrick O’Brien, was chosen for the Documentary award.
Each award comes with a cash prize of $25,000. Award winning director Alejandro Monteverde‘s latest film is a powerful story that explores the meaning of courage, and the will to challenge the impossible. After early success at the Toronto Film Festival with “Bella” in 2006 and being hailed by the industry, Monteverde took time to find his next project. “Little Boy,” opening Friday, April 24, is the result of several year’s of hard work.
