Choice Cinco de Mayo Margarita Recipes

Cinco de Mayo is around the corner and in honor of the holiday, we’re sharing the recipes for the infamous “Bulldog Margarita” and classic frozen from Blockheads, a New York City Mexican staple for 25 years.  Last year on Cinco de Mayo, Blockheads sold 6,000 margaritas between their 10 locations with plans to double that this year, so they know a thing or two about them. The below recipes are versatile, can be flavored with any flavor, and are easy to re-create at home if you can’t get to a Blockheads this Cinco de Mayo.

 

The infamous Blockheads Bulldog Margarita: (pictured above)

2oz Silver Tequila

4oz Fresh squeezed lime juice

1oz Strawberry Puree or any flavor of your choice, if flavoring

Squeeze of Agave syrup

Blend with ice, add a mini beer and a shot of your favorite tequila

**To make it a Frenchy, add a split of champagne

Blockheads Flavored Frozen Margarita

2 oz your favorite Tequila

4 oz fresh squeezed lemon lime juice

1 oz Cranberry Purée **or any flavoring of your choosing!!

Squeeze of Agave Syrup

Blend and garnish
