New York City’s Hispanic Day Parade marches up Fifth Avenue on the Sunday before Columbus Day. It celebrates the last days of National Hispanic Heritage Month which runs September 15 – October 15.
About 2.5 million New Yorkers have a Hispanic heritage. This is the largest Hispanic city in the United States.
About a million people attend the parade every year. The parade has celebrated New York City’s Latin cultures since 1985.
The 53rd annual Hispanic Day Parade is Sunday, October 8, 2017 from 12-5pm.
The parade assembles at 43rd Street at 10am and marches up Fifth Avenue to 69th Street.
The Hispanic Society Department of Sanitation is hosting the 53rd Annual Dinner Dance at Ricardo’s by the Bridge in Astoria, Queens on Friday, September 29, 2017 at 8pm. $100
