Thanksgiving is only a week away and if you’re visiting or living in New York City (or Long Island) and looking for exciting dining options after the Macy’s Parade we have  few suggestions. Whether you want to keep it traditional or venture into a different type of cuisine for the holiday, check out the options below.

Restaurants in New York City Serving Thanksgiving Specials:

Hortus NYC will be featuring a robust Thanksgiving Menu, designed by Executive Chef Lenny Moon, that takes diners on an eclectic culinary adventure as he infuses pan-Asian flavors with European techniques. Served for Thanksgiving will be a $70 per person prix fixe menu that begins with a Hortus Royal Platter for Two, chilled lobster tail, yellowfin tuna crudo, and a shrimp cocktail; followed by a Crispy Duck Taco, topped with Sichuan cranberry sauce, lettuce, and mango salsa.

From there, diners can choose an appetizer and entrée from the a la carte menu, or Surf and Turf, 10 oz filet mignon, truffle butter, grilled half-lobster, lobster mac and cheese, and maitake mushroom. The meal ends with Chocolate Cheesecake, topped with black sesame mascarpone cream.
Hortus NYC also offers an optional wine pairing for $40. Reservations can be made both on the restaurant’s website and on Resy.  Hortus NYC will be open on Thanksgiving from 5:30 pm – 11 pm and offers both indoor and garden room dining.

Hortus NYC is a stylish, modern Asian restaurant that emphasizes a design-forward atmosphere, and menu of carefully curated dishes that blend the flavors of Southeast Asia. The menu takes diners on a eclectic culinary adventure as he infuses pan-Asian flavors with European techniques. The restaurant features a bi-level dining room and hidden garden, that features both heaters and air conditioning to ensure customers can enjoy a meal in the picturesque space regardless of the weather.
Hortus NYC will be open on Thanksgiving from 5:30 pm – 11 pm and offers both indoor and garden room dining.

MIFUNE – For Thanksgiving, the restaurant will be serving a special $200 8-course Omakase tasting menu with an Organic Turkey Pie with truffle and gravy highlighted as the main course. Optional wine pairings and upgrades to the tasting menu are also available. Dinner will be served on Thanksgiving 5 pm – 10 pm without designated seating times. Reservations can be made through the restaurant’s website or on OpenTable.

MIFUNE is the Michelin-recognized neo-washoku restaurant located in the heart of Midtown East. The kitchen is helmed by co-Executive Chefs Yuu Shimano (Guy Savoy’s eponymous three Michelin-starred restaurant in Paris) and Tomohiro Urata (three Michelin-starred La Maison Troisgros in Roanne).The chefs’ signature style is infusing French culinary techniques and flavors into Japanese cuisine in imaginative dishes.

Sushi AMANE, the Michelin-Starred 8-seat sushi bar located in MIFUNE’s subterranean level is hosting a special $300 Thanksgiving Omakase experience. Newly helmed by Executive Chef Tomoyuki Hayashi who has full reign to put creativity on display and has incredible surprises in store for customers. Only using wild fish from Japan and other countries around the world, Chef Hayashi’s omakase sushi experience is a progression that consists of small hot and cold dishes, followed by nigiri selections of the best cuts of the fish, hand roll, tamago, and a miso soup. Sushi AMANE will host two seatings on Thanksgiving Day, at 6pm and 8:30 pm.

Pekarna NY – Executive Chef Kamal Hoyte, whose cuisine melds traditional Slovenian and New American seasonal dishes, will be serving a fourcourse pre-fixe Thanksgiving menu priced at $39 per person. Highlights from the menu include the Pekarna Salad with Cranberries composed of: mesclun mix, hard-boiled egg, heirloom tomatoes, pickled red onion, pickled cucumber, crispy chickpeas, carrot and caraway vinaigrette, and shaved gruyere; Turkey Roulade, oven roasted turkey stuffed with button mushrooms and served with roasted fingerling potatoes and grilled asparagus. For dessert, Pekarna’s Slovenian Apple Wrap, a baked apple roll, 10x sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla gelato.
The pre-fixe menu also includes a choice between two of Pekarna’s specialty cocktails.

Pekarna will be open from 5pm – 12 am on Thanksgiving Day and has also made the menu available for takeout and delivery. Pekarna offers spacious indoor dining as well as outdoor seating.

Conceptualized by Australian-native Dean O’Neill, Pekarna NY introduces Slovenian food and culture to New Yorkers in the largest restaurant and events venue on the Upper West Side. Combining O’Neill’s backgrounds in engineering and hospitality, the 6,500 square foot labyrinth of dining rooms and bars is structurally designed for a good time. The lower level, which can be accessed by an elevator or by the stairs, has four different private and public event spaces that are all soundproof and claim their own separate entrances and exits. Executive Chef Kamal Hoyte’s dinner menu is a melding of traditional Slovenian and New American seasonal dishes with French techniques.

PJ Bernsteinlocated on the Upper East Side, will be serving a special Thanksgiving Dinner for 10 priced at $299. Highlights from this offering includes a 15-pound roast turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing with mushrooms, and mashed potatoes, among other traditional sides, and an apple or pumpkin pie for dessert. Additionally, the restaurant offers individual Thanksgiving Dinners priced at $27.95 which includes Roasted Turkey (white or dark meat), mashed potatoes, stuffing, assorted vegetables, and cranberry Sauce.

While PJ Bernstein may not be as well-known as its downtown compatriots—Katz’s and the Second Avenue Deli—thisUpper East Side, family-owned Jewish Deli is one of the few remaining authentic restaurants of its kind. To this day, the deli continues to be a popular destination for locals and celebrities who have an appetite for PJ’s towering pastrami sandwiches and homemade soups. The restaurant has served a number of stars over the years such as Lucille Ball and Liza Minelli to others including Mel Brooks and two James Bonds, Sean Connery and most recently Daniel Craig.
PJ Bernstein will be open from 10 am – 5 pm on Thanksgiving Day with both indoor and outdoor dining available.

Tuscany Steakhouselocated in the heart of Central Park South, will be open on Thanksgiving for extended hours from 12 pm – 10 pm with the addition of a Traditional Turkey Special to their menu; with all options available for both takeout and delivery.

Tuscany Steakhouse owned by veteran restaurateur Steve Haxhiaj, an alumnus of Wolfgang’s Steakhouse. The restaurant represents a more rounded cuisine experience to their patrons with a menu marrying Italian American fare and classic American steakhouse. Their main attraction presents itself in the form of Tuscany Steakhouse’s USDA Prime Dry-Aged Steaks, which are dried in the restaurant’s signature aging box.  Every cut of meat in their kitchen is carefully handpicked from Master Purveyors. The restaurant’s interior is dimly lit, with white-washed brick and roman arches trimmed with rich oak and embodies a rustic old world European ambiance that is both cozy and welcoming. The wine list features over 300 new and old-world wines.

Restaurants on Long Island Serving Thanksgiving Specials:

Prime 1024, will be serving a special Four-Course Prix Fixe Thanksgiving menu priced at $95 per person served family style. Highlights from the menu include Pumpkin Lobster BisqueClams OreganataTurkey with traditional stuffing, or Pumpkin Sage Ravioli. For sides, Pecan Crusted Sweet Potato Mash, among others. Finally, for dessert, the table can choose one three pies to share: PecanApple or Pumpkin.
Diners also have the option of ordering a la carte with options for takeout and delivery.

Prime 1024 will be open 3pm – 8pm on Thanksgiving Day. Indoor and outdoor dining is available.

Prime 1024 is a modern Italian steakhouse located on Long Island’s Gold Coast. Indoors, the restaurant has been redesigned and features gorgeous glass and dark wood partitions between each of the tables and the outdoor dining has been designed as a “cabana style” experience with tables dressed in white tablecloths, separated by glass partitions and even curtains.

Limani Roslyn is offering a traditional 3-Course Thanksgiving menu. Highlights from the menu include Butternut Squash SoupGlazed Ham, served family style. Sides include a choice of Classic mashed potatoesbeets, and sweet yams, among others. Lastly, for dessert, choose between classic Pumpkin Pie or Sweet potato pie.

Diners also can order a la carte with options for takeout and delivery.

Limani Roslyn is the upscale, Greek-Mediterranean dining destination located in Roslyn on Long Island. The idea for the restaurant was conceptualized when the ownership team realized that a truly authentic Mediterranean-Greek menu was not available on Long Island. The restaurant offers indoor dining and two expansive outdoor tents that provide ample seating. Limani will be open from 3pm – 8pm on Thanksgiving Day and offers either indoor or outdoor dining options.
