Nearly 500 VIP guests, soccer players, personalities and media swarmed New York City’s Highline Ballroom Monday evening to celebrate the long-awaited release of the FIFA 16 video game in North America  in what was a high profile party in partnership with Major League Soccer. Amongst the attendees were the World Champion U.S. Women’s National Team, including Sydney Leroux, Abby Wambach, Christen Press and others. New York City FC players RJ Allen, Khiry Shelton and Tony Taylor joined New York Red Bulls players including Bradley and Shaun Wright-Phillips, Luis Robles, Dax McCarty, Lloyd Sam and others.   EA SPORTS and MLS favorite recording star Lupe Fiasco took the stage to close the night, while several other personalities swarmed about the dance floor.

With the worldwide launch of FIFA 16, EA SPORTS unveiled a creative campaign showcasing some of the world’s top athletic talent celebrating the fun, competitive quest for beauty with an operatic ode to football. The campaign kicks off with a two minute video dramatizing the competitive nature of football – Messi vs Agüero; Bryant holding his court; Morgan showing her intensity – and challenging their opponent to Play Beautiful, all to an accompanying over-the-top soundtrack. FIFA 16 innovates across the entire pitch to deliver a balanced, authentic, and beautiful football experience. The game also offers brand new ways to play by introducing Women’s National Teams and a new mode in FIFA Ultimate Team called FUT Draft.

FIFA 16 is now available in North America on Origin on PC, Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, Xbox 360 games and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation4 and PlayStation3 computer entertainment systems.
