Designed in collaboration with famed Dutch interior designer Remy Meijers, each of the new rooms was crafted with the utmost attention to detail. Recognized for his calming interiors and simple, straightforward approach to design, Meijers use of natural materials such as Wengé wooden floors, marble, and neutral gray and taupe colors, lends a warm, intimate ambiance to the Serendipity rooms.  In keeping with The Dylan’s individualized design scheme, each room and suite in the Serendipity Collection features a mix of wool rugs, soft furnishings, wooden accent tables, and leather detailing.

Named after the renowned 17th century Dutch architect Jacob van Campen, the two Signature Suites within the Serendipity Collection are characterized by 20 feet high ornament ceilings and classic floor-to-ceiling windows welcoming a haven of light. With bronze chandelier, cast iron staircase, and elaborate styling, the Jacob van Campen Signature Suites are the centerpiece of the collection. Widely known for his work on the Royal Palace at Dam Square, Jacob van Campen is the master hand behind The Dylan’s own historic entrance gate. With the Signature Suites auspiciously located on the first floor directly near the arrival archway, a tribute to the famed Golden Age architect was only fitting.
