Workin’ for the Weekend – Tequila Cocktails to Celebrate Labor Day

Labor Day weekend is a time to gather together with family and friends, and enjoy the outdoors. In honor of our last warm weather holiday, Hornitos Tequila created a few cocktails that are cleverly named and great for celebrating any day, no matter what your plans are.

Whether you’ve been Workin’ Hard or Hardly Workin,’ the Labor Day inspired cocktails below are the perfect way to toast to the end of another summer well spent.

Hornitos Hardly Workin'1

Hardly Workin’
·         1 ¼ parts Hornitos® Black Barrel® Tequila
·         ¼ part Agave
·         ½ part Lemon Juice
·         Lemon Wedge

Preparation: Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice, shake vigorously and strain over fresh ice. Garnish with a lemon wedge.

Hornitos The Workhorse1

The Work Horse
·         1 ½ parts Hornitos® Plata Tequila
·         4 parts Mexican Lager
·         ⅓ part Lime Juice
·         ⅓ part Simple Syrup<
·         1 slice Jalapeño·
Salt Rim

Preparation: Muddle jalapeño in a glass with a salted rim, combine remainder of ingredients except Mexican lager in a shaker, shake vigorously, strain over fresh ice and add Mexican lager.

Workin’ Hard
·         2 parts Hornitos® Plata Tequila
·         ½ part Agave Nectar
·         1 part Lime Juice
·         2 parts Coconut Water
·         3 Dashes Angostura® Bitters
·         Lime Peel

Preparation: Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice, shake vigorously and strain over fresh ice. Garnish with a lime peel.
