An emotional Grammy Award ceremony came to a close with Adele as the big winner. The British songbird made a triumphant return after undergoing surgery on her vocal chords by winning all six awards she was nominated for including Song, Record and Album of the Year. The night filled with tributes to Whitney Houston and Etta James including spectacular performances by Bruno Mars, Katy Perry and Paul McCartney.
