With country music experiencing unprecedented popularity, it’s time to saddle up with your drinks. These  Cuervo cocktails are the perfect way to toast to upcoming highly anticipated country music album releases coming up. They’re sure to shake up the genre like never before.

  • Honey Bee Old Fashioned: Pure honey over Cuervo Tradicional Añejo, this elevated sweet tequila take on a classic cocktail is silky, rich, and complex. With roots of the original old-fashioned cocktail dating back to the 19th century, its timeless appeal makes it a cowboy’s favorite, and the honey flavors on the palette are fit for our queen’s latest release.

  • Hold ‘Em Tequila Spicy Sour: There’s a heat wave with this spicy rendition on a long-time classic. Perfect for those who carry hot sauce in their bag, and don’t want to cool it down, this refreshing cocktail delivers a tangy kick with a hint of heat.

In addition to mixing up these cocktails, you can create a picture-worthy country bar set up by adding mini cowboy hats to shots (see how below). Plus, as you may already know, the queen prefers her Cuervo with no chaser–which is why we recommend Cuervo Tradicional Cristalino to dial up the party energy.

Honey Bee Old Fashioned
Ingredients

  • 2 oz Cuervo Tradicional Añejo
  • ¼ oz rich honey syrup
  •  2 dash aromatic bitters
  •  2 dash orange bitters

Directions

  • Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass, add ice, stir for about 20 seconds to emulsify the ingredients and dilute the ice. Strain into a rocks glass, add one large ice cube, and garnish with a trimmed expressed orange swath.

Syrup Directions

  • Add two parts honey to one-part warm water, mix to dissolve, store in refrigerator for up to a week.

Hold ‘Em Tequila Spicy Sour:

  • 2 oz Cuervo Tradicional Plata
  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice
  • ¾ oz serrano syrup
  • 2 dash orange bitters
  • Optional: 1 egg white or aquafaba for pectin/texture/frothy head

 Directions

  • Add all ingredients to your shaker tin. If using egg white or aquafaba, first dry shake without ice for 15 seconds to emulsify ingredients, then add ice and wet shake for an additional 15 seconds for dilution. Fine/double strain up into a coupe glass. Option to garnish with dehydrated lemon and course ground sea salt and dehydrated serrano half rim.

Syrup Directions

  • Heat one cup of water to a boil, lower heat to a simmer and add one cup white sugar, stir to dissolve. Add four serrano peppers sliced into quarter inch wheels and a healthy pinch of sea salt, cover and let simmer for 15 minutes, let cool and strain, store in refrigerator up to five days.
