City Tavern, an

Booths. Both interactive and fun, guests can pour their own beers right at
the table!

With craft beer evolving from an underground movement
to a serious contender in the spirits industry, City Tavern in the Los Angeles
enclave of Culver City, California, is taking this beverage
revolution to a whole new level. Since the craft industry is one for the people
and by the people, what better way to embody that than by allowing guests to
pour their own beer?
 
City
Tavern is the first California-state approved establishment to offer booths equipped with
a computerized draft beer system where patrons can pour their own beer from
three draft handles at each table. Another cool feature: A small monitor will
display how much beer has been consumed per party.

Additionally, the three Table Tap
Booths have a perfect view of the two main 46-inch flat-screen TVs, are a few
feet from the bar and jukebox and receive personalized service from the wait
staff, making this the closest thing to being in your own living room without
having to clean up after yourself.

The Table Tap beers rotate almost
daily and have featured notable craft names such as Golden Road Brewing and
Ventura Surf. Additionally, City Tavern’s 25 drafts from the bar are all from
independent breweries, including Sierra Nevada,
Lagunitas and Firestone.

In
addition to the Table Taps, what sets City Tavern apart from your
average gastropub is Chef Jessica Christensen’s notoriety as a “beer
chef.” City Tavern hosts frequent beer-and-cuisine pairings, often
focusing on craft retailers and exotic dishes.
