Alex Rodriguez, Mariano Rivera & Jorge Posada Lead Yankees to World Championship

The New York Yankees are World Champions! In an exciting 6 game series the Yankees managed to outlast and dominate the Philadelphia Phillies to claim their 27th World Championship.

Such amazing success is largely due to the trio of Latin superstars that make up the world’s most respected baseball franchise.

In the 7 – 3 victory Mariano Rivera had his second save of the series. Alex Rodriguez broke out of an early slump and closed the series with a homerun and 4 rbis.

And Jorge Posada remained a solid link to win the series.

This Friday the team makes a return visit to New York’s Canyon of Heroes for what will surely be a hirotic Parade!
