Make The Ultimate Impression With Polaris Slingshot

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to review the Polaris Slingshot and it became one of my favorite and most exciting driving experiences by far. Read on to discover the many joys you’ll find if you are considering making an investment in what will surely become the most attention grabbing vehicle you have ever owned.

I could feel this upon making my way to the dealership to pick it up. The Slingshot stands out with a unique distinctive design, and in either the Blue Steel, Neon Fade, Sunrise Orange or any of the other bright colorways available.
Once there I was given a quick overview and learned all of the new features. The main difference in the newer model is that it’s AutoDrive, while older models were Manual Transmission only. After an informative lesson and quick test drive I was ready to take it home and enjoy it for a few weeks.

The Slingshot is comfortable, fast, steady, with good pick up. It felt as if I was driving a very expensive convertible.
From the minute my wife and I drove off the lot we had a taste of what was to come. All eyes were on us. It’s definitely an attention getter. When you drive it, be prepared for everyone to gawk and stare. There were people filming us, taking pictures as we drove, and standing next to it for that Instagram selfie wherever it was parked. This happened every single time.

The Slingshot is fast and feels good. When you drive, it remains stable. Because it’s low and has big wheels you feel safe taking the wide turns. This is a vehicle for relaxing joyrides in the suburbs, or drive to an upscale city restaurant and make quite the arrival.

Loganville, GA where I test drove the Slingshot is between the country and the city, giving me a chance to try both. One of my favorite experiences was going to Lake Carlton, 20 minutes away. With unpaved, winding dirt roads it provided a rural feeling. Through it all the Slingshot felt sturdy, and safe. Almost like a Jeep. The steering wheel locks, and does not wiggle. I had no worries about the vehicle breaking down or getting stuck.

We went to Stone Mountain, and again, it performed excellent going up and down hills.
Of course on open roads it’s smooth cruising. And on the highway, even though you’re exposed, you still feel safe.

One of my favorite features on the Slingshot was the sound system. The audio volume will decrease if you’re going slow or increase if you’re going fast. It’s always at a good sound level, regardless. This happens automatically because if you’re driving fast the sound of the engine becomes louder and it’s more noticeable since there is no cover. The Slingshot anticipates this change and adjusts accordingly.  That also means that if you stop at a light the volume will decrease.

The Slingshot has a slick and modern dashboard. Technically advanced touchscreen, with a GPS system. It provides multiple functions. For instance if you want to take wide turns or narrow turns there’s an option that alters the suspension so the vehicle feels better when driving it.

Drawbacks on a Slingshot are few, but they are worth noting if you’re considering making the investment.
You need to keep in mind that storage space is limited. Also fueling the vehicle is very different than with a regular car and provides challenges. Getting in and out of it can be uncomfortable. Perhaps the biggest drawback is that you can not drive it in rain or snow. I learned this the hard way since we had inclement weather during the week I had the Slingshot and this posed a number of issues.
You definitely need to make sure you’ll be driving in good weather.

Now, what was my favorite part of the Slingshot experience?
Driving fast through picturesque open roads was true joy. And definitely the attention. Even my neighbor was impressed, asking where I got the vehicle and wanting to take photos with it. To reemphasize, you will always command atention.

The Slingshot is the perfect fusion between car and motorcycle, combining the best of both worlds. It gives you the thrills of a motorcycle with the speed and feel of it, while providing some of the safety of a car. It also avoids some of the issues found on two wheels. In a motorcycle when you stop, you have to use your legs to balance your body, and you have to be extremely careful with turns and remaining steady.

Yet,  the Slingshot feels almost the same as a motorbike because it’s open, but you don’t have to worry about the dangers of cars going next to you, or losing your balance. Motorcycles are smaller so there’s more danger. The Slingshot is wide in the front, with two lights and two wheels. It’s not as big as a car but bigger than a motorcycle and feels a lot safer.

The Slingshot is for those young at heart, with a taste for adventure. It’s for anyone who enjoys the outdoors, open roads, and becoming one with the elements.

I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to impress a date. If you want to feel like the true hombre you are, the Slingshot is for you. It’s also for someone on a budget, who still wants to stand out. You will likely get the same or more attention than a high end expensive sports car, for a third of the price. Keep in mind that since it has a smaller cylinder with fifteen or twenty dollars you’ll have a full tank of gas. And it will take you a long way.
With a Slingshot you’re not only getting more bang for your buck, but you’ll be sure to make an unforgettable impression wherever you go.
