3 Fun Cocktail Recipes for National Rum Day on August 16

As we approach National Rum Day on August 16 here are some easy-to-make cocktail recipes to celebrate the day. Although we never really need an excuse to sip on the sugar-cane based spirit, why not get festive this Monday? We assure you these cocktails won’t disappoint.
Sweet Liberty’s The Florida Cocktail
- 1.5 oz. Bacardi Anejo Cuatro
- .25 oz. green crème de menthe
- .25 oz. lime juice
- 3 dashes of saline
- Mint sprig (for garnish)
Directions: In a highball/collins glass,build over 3 ice cubes. Fill halfway with fluffy pineapple juice. Stir again and top with more pineapple. Garnish with a mint sprig.
Vinya’s Lightkeeper’s Punch
- .75 oz spiced rum
- .75 oz light rum
- .25 oz. Jamaican Pimento Dram
- .5 oz lime juice
- .25 oz toasted coconut pineapple reduction
- Jackfruit (for garnish)
Directions: Add all ingredients into a shaker and strain into glass with regular ice. Garnish with jackfruit.
Byblos Miami’s Turkish Sener
- 1.5 oz. Ron Zacapa
- 3 oz. Chandon Brut
- .25 oz. lime juice
- 3 dashes Angostura Bitters
- Lemon wheel (for garnish)
- Mint spring (for garnish)
Directions: Combine all ingredients then shake and strain into a coupe glass, garnish with a lemon wheel and mint sprig.
