The New York Mets swept the Chicago Cubs to become National League Champions and head to the World Series. To make the celebrations extra special the team’s shortstop Panamanian Ruben Tejada, gifted each member of the team a custom engraved bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Label Scotch.

Tejada, although injured in a key play and sidelined  during the playoffs, knew how to make the festivities truly memorable. The engraved message in the bottle was simple and to the point:

NLCS CHAMPS

KEEP WALKING

It’s clear that chants for #WinForRuben didn’t go unnoticed by Tejada. This ultimate gift of gratitude shows his continued joy in the success of his team and love of the game.

Tejada even said, “It’s been a long time since the Mets have gotten this far. It’s been a joy to watch my teammates sweep and I wanted to congratulate them with engraved bottles of Johnnie Walker Blue Label. We do have some work cut out for us, but today we’re going to enjoy this moment as a team since we worked so hard to get here.”
