Make Sparks Fly With These Fourth of July Cocktails

Independence Day is upon us once again and luckily for those partaking in the festivities, Don Papa Rum’s new summer cocktails are perfect for sipping while soaking up the sun. From classic favorites to full on red, white and brew, celebrate the hot weather with these cold drinks.

DAYDREAM
1.5 oz Don Papa

2.5 oz pineapple juice

1.5 oz coconut water

0.25 oz lime juice

0.25 oz agave nectar

Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake vigorously.
Strain into a highball glass over ice and garnish with mint leaf and crushed pink peppercorn.

SKINNY DIP
1.5 oz Don Papa

2 oz watermelon juice

0.5 oz homemade lime cordial

0.25 oz jalapeno tincture

Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake vigorously.
Strain into a rocks glass over ice rimmed with equal parts shichimi togarashi and sea salt.
Garnish with a sprig of cilantro.

SUGARCANE COBBLER
1 oz Don Papa

1 oz amontillado sherry

0.5 oz Suze

1 orange wheel

3 lemon wheels

Muddle fresh citrus in a shaker before adding liquid ingredients and ice.

Shake vigorously and strain into a highball glass over crushed ice.

Top with a splash of soda, then garnish with an orange wheel and lightly torched thyme.

TAN LINES
1.5oz Don Papa

1 oz Cocchi Americano

1 oz blanc vermouth

1 pinch sea salt

Combine ingredients in a large rocks glass.  Add ice, then stir to chill and combine.
Top with splash of prosecco, then garnish with a grapefruit twist and lightly torched rosemary.
