With Halloween in the horizon there’s no better time to enjoy a fall cocktail. Whether it’s tequila, gin, cognac, or rum, we have the right drink to spice up any spooky celebration. Check the recipes below for delicious cocktails from Hornitos and DeLeon Tequila, Courvoisier Cognac, Don Papa Rum and Nolet’s Silver Gin.
TEQUILA
From apple picking to haunted houses, Hornitos Tequila has got you covered with these cocktails that are guaranteed to satisfy your taste buds during this festive season – whether you want to get in the Halloween spirit with a Black Cauldron, or get cozy under a warm blanket with an Apple Barrel.
Black Cauldron
1 ½ parts Hornitos Black Barrel Tequila
¾ part fresh lemon juice
¼ part sage simple syrup
2 dashes Angostura bitters
1 capsule activated charcoal*
Lemon wedge
Preparation: Combine equal parts sugar and water with 3-5 sage sprigs and bring to a boil to create sage simple syrup. Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with a lemon wedge.
Apple Barrel
2 parts Hornitos Black Barrel Tequila
1 part apple cider
¾ part fresh lime juice
½ part maple syrup
3 dashes Angostura bitters
Apple slice
Preparation: Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice. Garnish with an apple slice.

Create the perfect atmosphere with these NOLET’S Silver Gin Halloween cocktails.
NOLET’S Silver Corpse Reviver
1 oz. NOLET’S Silver Gin
1 oz. Lillet Blanc
1 oz. Cointreau
1 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice
1 dash of Absinthe
Orange Peel for Garnish
Method: Shake all ingredients together in an ice-filled shaker and strain into a Martini or coupe glass. Garnish with an orange peel.
Light My Fire
1.5 oz NOLET’S Silver
.75 oz homemade cucumber and rosemary cordial
.75 oz lime juice
Method: Shaken served on a highball topped with champagne garnish a dehydrated lime and rosemary topped with .25 oz of burned chartreuse
NOLET’S Silver Apple Crisp Punch
26 oz. NOLET’S Silver Gin
13 oz. Apple Juice or Cider
6.5 oz. Lime Juice
6.5 oz. Honey
2 Fresh Limes Apples (Green or Red)
Method: Mix all ingredients in an infusion jar (or punch bowl) and stir thoroughly to dissolve honey. Slice limes into wheels and add to jar. Serve over ice, garnished with lime, apple slices or matchsticks, cinnamon sticks and or thyme.
NOLET’S SILVER Hot Apple Cider
For warming up holiday visitors, this recipe can (and should) be made to self-serve. Because the Gin is added in at the end, it’s perfect to serve to non-drinkers as well.
1.5 oz. NOLET’S Silver Gin per cup
1/2 Gallon Apple Cider
3 cups Unsweetened Cranberry Juice
1 sliced Orange
1 sliced Lemon
1 sliced Apple
4 Cinnamon Sticks
4 Cardamom Pods
3 Star Anise Pods
1/2 tsp. Grated Nutmeg
2 inches sliced Ginger
Method: Combine all ingredients (except Gin) in a slow cooker or large pot on stove. Bring to a simmer and reduce heat to lowest setting/lowest flame. Can be kept warm for hours and will provide a wonderful holiday fragrance. To serve, ladle punch into a mug or teacup with 1.5 oz. of NOLET’S Silver Gin, and garnish with fruit slices, cranberries, cinnamon or star anise pods.
COGNAC
Courvoisier has the perfect cocktail for a football game in front of the TV.
Sherry Manhattan
2 parts Courvoisier Sherry Cask Cognac
¾ part Punt E Mes Vermouth
1 dash Angostura classic bitters
Preparation: Combine ingredients in a mixing glass with ice and stir. Strain mixture into a coupe glass, garnish with an orange swath and serve.
RUM

Black on Black
Don Papa 10, cold brew liquor, muscovado, stout
1 1/2 oz Don Papa Rum 10 year old
1/4 oz cold brew liquor
1/4 oz muscovado syrup (2:1 muscovado : coconut water)
Combine all ingredients with ice and shake vigorously.
Strain into a tall glass over ice and fill with stout beer.
Garnish with a fine dusting of bitter cocoa powder.
Sweet Tooth
Don Papa 10, Pedro Ximenez sherry, butterscotch, walnut, salted cream
1 1/2 oz Don Papa 10yo
1/2 oz Pedro Ximenez sherry
1/2 oz butterscotch schnapps
2 dashes walnut bitters
Combine all ingredients with ice and stir until chilled.
Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
Float a layer of salted whipped cream on the surface of the cocktail and garnish with grated nutmeg.
