Autism Awareness With Shady Rays

Shady Rays, one of the nation’s fastest-growing sunglass brands, launched its Autism Awareness shades on April 1 in recognition of Autism Awareness Month. The do-good, limited-edition signature series benefits Best Day Foundation – a volunteer organization that helps children and young adults ages 4 -24+ with special needs build confidence and self-esteem through safe, fun, adventure activities like surfing, bodyboarding, kayaking, snow sports, and more.
Twenty percent of proceeds from every order will be donated to help support and advocate for individuals with Autism through outdoor adventures and experiences. In 2020, the 1,500 pair limited series earned more than $7,725 for the charity.
“We are so grateful to have Shady Rays’ support again this year,” Best Day Founder Brooks Lambert said. “They are a joy to work with and their continued support makes it possible for us to host multiple events which typically serve about 40 youth with special needs – with the help of 80 – 150 volunteers at each event.”
This year’s expanded Autism Awareness collection includes three shade styles – Signature Series with Glacier Lens, Signature Series with Infrared Lens and Allure with Sapphire Lens – totaling 6,000 pairs for the program. Each of the shades feature a design of puzzle pieces with polarized, shatter-resistant, 100% UV protection lenses. To purchase a pair, visit https://shadyrays.com/collections/autism-awareness-edition
“We have built our aspirational outdoor lifestyle brand on the foundation of doing good,” Shady Rays Founder Chris Ratterman said. “We believe in supporting causes that mean the most to our customers and that’s why we’ve partnered with Best Day Foundation. Their mission is directly in line with our purpose and we are so proud to support their organization and members.”
Each pair of the limited-edition style comes with the Shady Rays Lifetime Craftsmanship Warranty & Lost or Broken replacement (just pay S+H fee for lost/broken replacements*). Every order provides ten meals to fight hunger.
“I gave my nephew, Carson, who has Autism, the sunglasses last year and he wears them every day,” Lambert exclaimed.
