Celebrate National Cocktail Day With These Creative Drinks

With National Cocktail Day fast approaching on March 24, we’re sharing some tasty cocktail recipes from spirit brands, Mijenta Tequila, Equiano Rum, and Great Jones Distilling Co. Whiskey, as well as a cocktail from S Bar at Citizens New York at Manhattan West. Check below, and enjoy.
Ginger Jones with Great Jones Distilling Co. (above)
INGREDIENTS
1 ½ oz Great Jones Rye
½ oz Barrows Intense ginger liqueur
¾ oz Lemon juice
¼ oz Simple Syrup.
Ginger Beer to top
METHOD
Shake all ingredients but the ginger beer together.
Serve in a Collins glass and top with some ginger beer.
Stir well.
Garnish with a ginger candy and dehydrated lemon wheel

Escondido Highball – with Mijenta Tequila
INGREDIENTS
1.5 oz Mijenta Tequila Blanco
.75 oz cinnamon syrup
.5 oz lime juice
3 oz mango soda (e.g., Spindrift)
METHOD
Shake all ingredients but soda with plenty of ice.
Strain into a highball glass with fresh ice and top with mango soda.
Garnish with a mint sprig

Freedom Hand with Equiano Rum
INGREDIENTS
1 2⁄3 oz Equiano
2⁄5 oz Campari
5⁄6 oz Sweet Vermouth
3 dashes of chocolate bitters
METHOD
Stir all ingredients in a mixing glass until cold.
Serve in a rocks glass with a large rock of Ice or ice ball.
Garnish with an orange slice and plain chocolate.

The Life Aquatic from S Bar
INGREDIENTS
.75 oz fresh squeezed lime juice
.50 oz simple syrup
.25 oz clear creek pear brandy
.50 oz chareau
1.5 oz ford’s gin
1.5 oz east imperial yuzu tonic
METHOD
Add all ingredients to the small tin and fill to the top with hoshizaki cubes.
Shake, add yuzu tonic to the larger tin & strain into a Collins glass over hoshizaki ice.
Garnish with 1 starfruit slice, dropped into the glass vertically.
