Urban Cove Society & Kitchen features an approachable yet gourmet menu combining the flavors of modern American and global cuisines, paying homage to the rich tapestry of cultures that define New York City and the historic Seaport district.  The property has opened at 33 Hotel an elegant boutique hotel in  in one of  the City’s most picturesque neighborhood.

Facing the cobblestone lined Peck Slip, Urban Cove Society & Kitchen will offer diners a casual yet refined setting in which to enjoy a robust offering for dinner and weekend brunch. The menu features a communal experience with shareables and small plates, and an equally impressive mix of stand-alone entrees. Highlights include seafood dishes, a nod to the area’s history, such as prawns with tzatziki, herbs, and lemon zest; to tried-and-true American comfort foods such as fried chicken and waffles and a double patty burger. Urban Cove promises to cater to seafood lovers, carnivores, and vegetarians alike, with a corresponding cocktail and mocktail menu to complement every visit.  With about 40 seats, the restaurant will feature a distinct bar with a four-guest beverage experience and seasonal outdoor seating overlooking Peck Slip.

Our spirit forward cocktail menu will be super unique with twists on classic cocktails and interactive moments where guests build their own drink journey,” he concluded.

The first section of the dinner menu at Urban Cove features Small Plates, including a section of Baked items (artisanal breads and butters, along with other spreads such as compote and honey); Dipped, featuring a variety of dips including hummus, tzatziki and guacamole; and Marinated items such as olives and pickled vegetables. These items are ideal for starters and for sharing with fellow diners.

But the sharing doesn’t end there. For those who prefer a communal dining experience with their dining companions, the Shareables section includes a Raw section featuring tartare and ceviche options; Pasta dishes, including ravioli with short rib and brown butter and a light and fresh orzo with lemon and parmigiana; Assortments, including a chilled seafood platter, a charcuterie spread and a vegetarian option featuring fresh, seasonal vegetables.

Entrees include a Shells & Fish section, where diners can choose from halibut, salmon or prawns; Beef, including a 16 0z ribeye and a delicious steak and frites; Plant-Based which includes hen of the woods with mushroom broth and a Romanesco with brown butter and sorrel; Chicken, including the aforementioned chicken and waffles; On a Bun, where guests can choose between a burger, fried chicken sandwich, eggplant and mozzarella or a butter poached lobster roll.

Brunch highlights include a Croque Madame with prosciutto and gruyere on a brioche bun, French toast with strawberry cream, fresh berries, maple syrup and shaved chocolate and a “Shore Benny”, eggs benedict with lump crab meat and Hollandaise on an English muffin.

Signature cocktails include the Crime of Passion (vodka, vanilla liqueur, passionfruit, lemon, rose prosecco), the Pink Drink (suntory roku, Italicus bergamot liqueur, Lillet Rose, raspberry, lemon, blackberries), the Port of Call (flor de cana 5yr, Cruzan aged light rum, strawberry, lime, demerara syrup) as well as a variety of flights across many spirit categories.
