In celebration of NYC’s first Men’s Fashion Week, Bacardi Global has paired three of the city’s top mixologists with three distinctive menswear designers to collaborate on a collection of signature cocktails featuring Bacardi’s most iconic brands – Bombay Sapphire Gin, Grey Goose and Bacardi Gran Reserva. The collection of nine limited edition cocktails was unveiled earlier this week.
Designer Pairings:
- · House of Bombay x Rochambeau
- · Grey Goose x Ovadia & Sons
- · Bacardi Gran Reserva x Thaddeus O’Neil
The Bacardi team worked closely with Laurence Chandler and Josh Cooper (Rochambeau) and Matthew Charles (Edition Hotel), who have collaborated on the artisanal cocktail recipes showcasing three lines from the House of Bombay – Bombay Dry, Bombay Sapphire and Bombay Sapphire EAST – think haute couture, ready to wear, and street-style (all recipes below). Inspired by Rochambeau’s S/S 16 collection and tailored by the hands of Matthew Charles, the NYFW: Men’s Bombay Cocktail Collection was unveiled at The Edition hotel during an intimate celebration – for close friends, designers, athletes, and models — hosted by Chandler and Cooper following the Rochambeau S/S 16 show.
MATT CHARLES x ROCHAMBEAU (Bombay)
“I’m proud to present the NYFW: Men’s Cocktail Collection showcasing Bombay gins that I collaborated on with Laurence and Joshua of Rochambeau. The cocktails are fun, young and playful. They taste incredible, are versatile, and will go over with a lot of people. The boys are inspired by architecture, which is why I chose The Eero named after Architect Eero Saarinen, and picked a beautiful, striking color seen in the Gothic Summer, which they loved. I travel for a network show I am on all over the world so we had a lot in common in that respect. The G’d Up cocktail was also one of the boys’ favorite recipes and they simply thought the cocktail collection partnership was “G’ed Up”, so it was only fitting to keep that name! It’s a fun project and the boys are actually tremendous cocktail experts!” – Matthew Charles, Edition Hotel
