“Thank you very much, from the bottom of my heart, to Billboard for the generosity in giving me this award. It really means a lot to me. I want to dedicate it to all my colleagues who make music because there was a time when making music in Spanish wasn’t so easy. I want them to be proud of what has been achieved here through many generations and many different genres,” Sanz expressed upon accepting the award.

“I also want to dedicate it to the people who make this possible, the ones who listen to us, the audience in general, the people who love music,” Sanz continued. “Music is what moves this heart of mine that has been walking for so long. This is for you—long live music, and long live life.”
