National Whiskey Sour Day may come and go (August 25) but you can enjoy the tasty cocktail on any occasion by preparing it with Alberta Rye Dark Batch. This new spirit is a front-finishing whisky that is best enjoyed in cocktails and just launched in April 2015. Alberta’s distinctly unique blend of 91% rye, 8% bourbon and 1% sherry makes the Dark Batch Sour an exclusive twist on the classic whiskey sour.
Dark Batch Sour
Ingredients:
2 parts Alberta Rye Dark Batch Whisky
3/4 part Lemon Juice
1/2 part Pear Liqueur
1/2 part Simple Syrup
1/4 part Allspice Liqueur
Method: Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice. Shake, serve up or on the rocks and garnish with a lemon peel.
