Bring in the new year poppin’ bottles while savoring everyday brunch faves.
I love getting people together. It’s my thing. I plan. I organize. I coordinate. And I get the right personalities in the room for a memorable time. So when I think about brunch and how we do it in the A, I envision fashionable outfits, fun and flirty conversations, and a fabulous bottle of sparkling rosé from Maison Marcel. The colorful bottle, which is designed by LA-based artist James Goldcrown, comes wrapped in a navy blue label with hot pink, red, yellow, and turquoise hearts on it. Place it in a clear wine bucket at the center of the table and it is guaranteed to be the star of the show.

The party begins when you pop open this dry, yet fruity beverage. Made with passion fruit, grapefruit, and mandarin notes, this tasty rosé produced in Provence, France, packs a bubbly punch. Now I must admit, my palate is poised for all things sweet and yet this bottle surprisingly has the perfect balance between dry and a sophisticated sweet. Pair this drink with everything from fluffy French toast topped with powdered sugar and syrup to a side of Southern-style creamy and cheesy grits. You’re sure to effortlessly move from one bottle (comprised of Muscat, Syrah, and Aligoté grapes) to the next.

It’s easy to see why A-listers such as DJ D-Nice, and Adrienne Bailon with husband Israel Houghton are investors in the brand. They all embody a lively lifestyle and have a flair for the finer things in life. And speaking of the best things in life, in March, I’m planning to host a fabulous brunch with award-winning makeup artist Nisha Lagana, co-owner of A Glamour Affair. Girls will be dolled up and the fellas will be fly. Our drink of choice? Maison Marcel’s signature Hearts Rosé. But you don’t have to wait that long to celebrate with friends and family.

Other highlights from the chic brand, which prides itself on its commitment to keeping its wines natural (translation: no added sugars and sulfites), are its French Velvet (think red vino with notes of dark chocolate, blackberry jam, and red plum) and its Ocean Bound, a full-bodied sauvignon blanc with hints of white peach and passion fruit. So raise your glass without any guilt—10 percent of all sales from Maison Marcel’s Ocean Bound go to the nonprofit, 5Gyres, which works to reduce plastic pollution throughout the world.
