Casio America, Inc. is introducing three new models to its distinctive EDIFICE collection of timepieces – the EFSS550DB-1A, EFSS550BL-1A and EFSS550PB-1A. Designed for business or everyday wear, the new EFSS550 timepieces are sophisticated and comfortable, and offer enhanced features including solar charging technology.
“We couldn’t be more excited to expand our popular EDIFICE collection of men’s timepieces,” said David Johnson, Vice President of Casio’s Timepiece Division. “Known for their distinct style and enhanced technology, the new EFSS550 models are a great fit to the collection and provide the features consumers are familiar with and desire, with bold, new designs.”
The new EFSS550’s solar chronograph has enhanced charging technology that can convert light into electricity via a solar panel located under the inset dials and eliminates the need for battery changes. It can even be charged in low or fluorescent light. After a full-charge and without further exposure to light, the timepiece has a battery life of approximately five months.
Designed with a sapphire crystal and ion-plated bezel, the EFSS550 will be available in three styles: black watch face with a stainless-steel band (EFSS550DB-1A; MSRP $200), black watch face with a grey and black striped cloth band (EFSS550BL-1A; MSRP $200) and black watch face with a black resin band (EFSS550PB-1A; MSRP $190). All three models will be available this summer at select jewelry and watch retailers nationwide, as well as Casio.com
