For the first time, the America’s best soccer players will come to the U.S. for the the most prestigious men’s soccer tournament to take place here since the 1994 FIFA World Cup. From June 3 – 26, 16 different countries from The Americas will compete in ten U.S. cities in the Copa America Centenario. The competition will be televised live
Whether you are a big soccer fan, or just want to root for your favorite team or player, cocktails are a staple of any sports viewing party with family and friends.
Enjoy Johnnie Ginger 2.0, a cocktail with the bold, distinctive taste of Johnnie Walker Red Label and the spicy taste of ginger. Created by Latino mixologist, Christian Rolon, it’s the perfect drink for raising a glass and toasting, regardless of what team you are cheering for. Rolon was recently named a StarChefs Rising Star Bartender for South Florida.

Johnnie Ginger 2.0

Ingredients:
1.5 oz Johnnie Walker Red Label
1/2 oz Ginger Syrup*
*Ginger syrup:
In a blender, mix 1 cup honey, 1 cup sugar, 1.5 cups water, 8 sage leaves and 3/4 cup of chopped fresh ginger root. Blend all ingredients and strain.
Preparation:
1. Fill an old-fashioned glass with ice.
2. Pour Johnnie Walker Red Label and the ginger syrup, top with soda water.
3. Garnish with a sage sprig
