Celebrate Day of the Dead With These Tasty Cocktails

Celebrate Día De Muertos with cocktails from Jose Cuervo Tradicional, the original tequila made from 100% blue agave.  Inspired by historical Mexican figures, these cocktails will get you in the Day of the Dead spirit and are the perfect complement to all Ofrendas.

Agave Anita Margarita
inspired by Cuervo’s founding lady – Ana Gonzalez Rubio y de la Torre

2 oz Jose Cuervo Tradicional Silver

1 oz blue curacao

.75 oz lime juice

.75 oz simple syrup

Lime wedge for garnish

Preparation:

In a shaker, add Jose Cuervo Tradicional Silver, blue curaco, lime juice and simple syrup.  Shake well.  Strain the contents of the shaker into glass. Garnish with a lime wedge

Inspired by first Mexican female artist to exhibit in the U.S. – Maria Izquierdo 

1 part Jose Cuervo Tradicional Silver
1 part blood orange juice
1 part soda water
1 tsp of superfine sugar

Preparation 

Cut lime wheels. Run one lime wheel around the rim of glass then dip the glass into salt. In glass, add ice, Jose Cuervo Tradicional® Silvertequila, blood orange juice, and superfine sugar. Stir ingredients. Pour in soda and garnish with blood orange

Libertad Libations Punch
Inspired by the Mexican revolutionist – Emiliano Zapata

1 bottle of Jose Cuervo Tradicional Silver
2 cups of pineapple juice
1 1/2 cups lime juice
lime wheels for garnish
pineapple wedges for garnish

Preparation

In punch bowl, add Jose Cuervo Tradicional Silver, pineapple juice and lime juice. Stir. Add lime wheels. Using ladle, pour mixture into glasses over ice. Garnish with lime wedge
