This Whiskey Sour Day, put a modern twist to this signature drink with I.W. Harper Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. In celebration of the classic cocktail, treat yourself to the rich flavors of the Strawberry Whiskey Sour.

With a mix of berry and citrus flavors, toast to the holiday with the perfect after-dinner cocktail on August 25th.

Ingredients:

  • 1½ oz I.W. Harper Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
  • ¾ oz lemon juice
  • ¾ oz strawberry syrup*
  • Sliced strawberry, for garnish

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice
  2. Shake until chilled
  3. Pour into a rocks glass
  4. Garnish with a strawberry

*Strawberry Syrup:
In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water. Stir until dissolved. Add 1 cup of hulled strawberries. Bring mixture to a low boil. Turn down heat and let simmer for 10 minutes.  Turn off heat and allow mixture to cool. Strain syrup into a container. Store unused syrup in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
