Citi Taste of Tennis, a premier culinary and tasting experience, kicked off its first ever Food Truck Tour during an event at Freehold in New York City‘s Union Square Park.

The food truck tour, a celebration of the return of tennis to NY will embark on a 3-week journey with each stop on the tour offering free food to New Yorkers by an all-star ensemble of chefs including Jassi Bindra (Punjab Grill) John Mooney (Bell, Book & Candle, Bidwell), Fany Gerson (La Newyorkina), Wenford Simpson (The Simpson), Suchanan Aksornnan (Baoburg), John Doherty (Black Barn Restaurant) and Alex Fortini (Tarallucci e Vino).

At the event, the chefs were joined by kids from the Cary Leeds Center for Tennis & Learning in the Bronx as the experience also celebrated the 50th Anniversary of New York Junior Tennis and Learning (NYJTL).  https://www.tasteoftennis.com/
All were present to unveil their dishes and convey their excitement for the return of the event–the 20th annual–to New York while having guests taste their food.

A collective of top NYC Chefs (Left to right: Suchanan Aksornnan, Crosby Beckman, John Doherty, Alex Fortini, Wenford Simpson, Fany Gerson and Jassi Bindra) helped kick off the first ever Citi Taste of Tennis Food Truck Tour which will be stationed around NYC for the next three weeks offering free food to New Yorkers while celebrating the return of the US Open. The tour helps raise funds for “Feed the Frontlines” and the “New York Junior Tennis and Learning” center.
