Continue The Celebrations With Buchanan’s And Old Parr Cocktails

As we wrap up Hispanic Heritage Month, the celebration is far from over.
Buchanan’s Whisky and Old Parr, two traditional scotch brands are here to keep the festivities alive. With their rich history in Latin America and exceptional quality, these brands are a perfect way to toast Latinos and our vibrant flavor.

To celebrate, the brands have created delicious, premium cocktails crafted with Buchanan’s and Old Parr whisky with flavors that capture the essence of the rich and unique Hispanic culture. Whether you prefer the smooth, smoky notes of Buchanan’s or the rich, mellow flavors of Old Parr, there’s a cocktail for every palate and occasion.

EL MERCADITO
Makes one serving

Ingredients: 

  • 1.5 oz Buchanan’s 12-Year-Old DeLuxe 
  • 1.0 oz Tangerine Juice 
  • 0.5 oz Agave Syrup (amber)
  • 1 Pinch of Chile de Arbol
  • 1 Pinch of Sea Salt

Glassware: Coupe

Garnish: Tangerine peel

Preparation: Add all ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake vigorously until cold.  Strain into a coupe glass (no ice). Squeeze oil of small tangerine peel and place on rim of coupe as garnish.

For sharing multiply all ingredients by 12 and add to blender. blend on low speed to share with friends and family. *Makes 12 servings.

WHISKY BLUSH
Makes one serving

Ingredients:

  • 1.25 oz Buchanan’s Master or DeLuxe 
  • 1.5 oz brewed and cooled hibiscus tea
  • 1 oz. fresh blood orange juice (or orange juice)
  • 0.5 oz lemon juice
  • 0.5 oz elderflower liqueur 

Glassware: 6 oz coupe

Garnish: citrus wheel + edible, organic blossoms

Preparation: Shake all ingredients with ice in a shaker. Strain into coupe glass + garnish.

THE OLD PARR BLOOD & SAND 
Ingredients

  • 1 oz. Old Parr Aged 12 Years
  • 0.75 oz. Fresh Blood Orange Juice
  • 0.75 oz. Cherry Heering (or premium cherry liqueur)
  • 0.75 oz. Sweet Vermouth

How To Prepare

  • Combine Old Parr Aged 12 Years, fresh blood orange juice, premium cherry liqueur and sweet vermouth
  • Shake with ice and strain into coupe glass
  • Garnish with brandied cherry

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Old Parr Aged 12 Years
  • 3 oz Fresh Pineapple Juice
  • 2/3 oz Ginger Syrup
  • Top with Ginger Beer

How To Prepare

  • Combine Old Parr Aged 12 Years
  • fresh pineapple juice
  • and ginger syrup into a cocktail shaker with ice
  • Shake well and strain into a highball glass over ice
  • Top with ginger beer and garnish with a slice of ginger and/or pineapple leaves
