Dining in CDMX is on another level.
The city, long respected as a corporate and business hub has expanded to deliver everything a seasoned traveler can desire.
Perhaps the most surprising development is its growth to become one of the great culinary capitals of the world. CDMX now has three restaurants ranked among The World’s 50 Best, and seven with Michelin stars. The standouts with one star are EmEsquina ComúnRosettaSud 777, and El Califa de León, this last one serving a limited menu of beef tacos made with hand-made tortillas received a Michelin star in 2024, becoming the first Mexican taco stand so awarded. The most prestigious restaurants in town are Pujol and Quintonil, both earning 2 Michelin stars.
In addition to those awarded, check below for some of our other favorites.

And as you plan your airline reservations consider Viva Aerobus, with flights to CDMX from major US cities, including a direct non-stop from New York City’s JFK.
