The Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, visited Pall Mall Barbers in Paddington Central in London, supporting the the award-winning barbering institution who are members of the Lions Barber Collective. Lions Barber Collective is an international group of top barbers who have come together to raise awareness for the prevention of suicide and provide training for Barbers, called BarbersTalk.

With over 122 years of history serving clientele, Pall Mall Barbers are being trained to recognize signs of depression and mental health issues, listen to clients and advise them on the best places to go for support. The barber’s chair has proven to be an effective place for men to feel comfortable and to open up.

Speaking on the importance of mental health awareness, Owner and Managing Director of Pall Mall Barbers Richard Marshall mentioned “I had a strong connection to the Lions Barber Collective when I learned of their mission. Like so many, I have lost a loved one to suicide, so mental health is a cause I take very personal. We are so pleased to partner here and offer this potentially lifesaving training to our staff. It’s our hope that Pall Mall Barbers can help expand the reach of this program through our stores, and effect positive change by delivering a safe space for clients to feel comfortable to talk to their barbers about their mental health.”

In addition to this new partnership, Pall Mall Barbers will also offer an in-shop Wellbeing treatment as an incentive for men to get in the chair, unwind and talk with their barber. The Wellbeing treatment includes in chair massage and power nap.

With six locations across London, Pall Mall Barbers recently opened their first location across the pond in New York at Rockerfeller Center. Pall Mall Barbers calling card of traditional service in a modern manner and in-house product offering provides what a man needs to feel his best.
