Bradley Cooper, Matt Damon and Leonardo DiCaprio all tuned in their inner business men with slicked back hair inspired by “The Wolf of Wall Street,” while Matthew McConaughey’s turned to letting his curls shine.

New York based hairstylist Stephanie Flor provides tips and tools to recreate two of these red carpet worthy men’s styles with the go-to men’s hair staple – Gel.

1.      Start with clean, towel-dried hair.

2.      Choose the right product for the job.

LEO:  For a slick look like Leo, opt for a gel with a strong hold.  Use LA Looks Mega Hold/ Mega Mega Hold for non-sticky and flake proof locks.  Add the gel by sections and comb back to flatten the hair.

MATTHEW:  For Matthew’s curls, select LA Looks Nutra Curl with Avocado Oil which helps to define curls and prevents frizz.  The ingredients coats curls with moisture and shine.

Overall Gel Tips:   

·         When applying the gel it’s important to distribute evenly.

·         Start with a nickel size amount of gel on your palms and spread into the hair. You want to push the hair forward and back.

·         Grab more gel and apply to specific areas you want to make stiffer.

·         Depending on the style you can let it dry natural or use a comb and create more of a groomed look.
