Jade Mountain sits atop St. Lucia’s Anse Chastanet resort.  Exclusive design and high level  service will grab your attention from the second you arrive.   As you pull up to the driveway you will be met by the friendly staff who greet you with drink in hand and refreshing mint towels.

In Jade Mountain your accommodations do not begin behind a door. Instead your private sanctuary starts with the long walkway bridge, surrounded by flowers, that showcases the resorts’ architectural structure and only enhances your anticipation for what’s to come.

Once inside you feel in complete harmony; a direct connection with the world around you due to the lack of doors (apart from the entrance), glass windows and even inside walls.

In every detail you can see an artistic signature… from the first (and only) door to the pool’s tiles. The place breathes luxury, while maintaining an island flavor; from the wood furniture  to the staff dressed in traditional garb.

ACCOMMODATIONS
There are 29 sanctuaries in Jade Mountain, classified by Star, Moon, Sun and Galaxy categories; depending on square footage. All have infinity pools, with the exception of 5 Sky Jacuzzi suites.

Each sanctuary has its own personality. Once you cross the bridge you’ll enter a huge space with everything you need for an unforgettable stay. King size canopy bed, expensive one of a kind furniture, infinity pool, and a large dining room table that accommodates 2 or 10 guests. Immediately you’ll be overtaken with the beauty that surrounds you.

When it comes to views, the location is unbeatable. It is minutes away from the Pitons and your room has unobstructed views of St. Lucia’s main attraction. To the right and beyond there is the majesty of the Caribbean sea.

It doesn’t stop there. Step ‘upstairs’ and you will find a bathroom that includes a rain and full body shower… and a jacuzzi for relaxing evenings.

The trademark infinity pool deserves special attention. Each sanctuary has individually designed pools with different color glass tiles which were designed in a symbolic collaboration with David Ko of Lighstreams.

Water temperature is maintained naturally, with the option to adjust the temperature manually. Furthermore, each pool is illuminated during the night with fiber optic lights which you control.

All sanctuaries feature 15ft. high ceilings and have the fourth wall open to the views.  In addition to locally made fine tropical wood furniture an eclectic collection of furniture has been placed in the sanctuaries giving each of them their own individualistic ambiance.

The living areas of the rooms are finished with more than twenty different species of tropical hardwood flooring and trims. In-room amenities include all the standards you find in a five star resort. In addition, you will have your own majordomo. Upon arrival, you will receive a ” firfly ” communication device, allowing direct contact to the service team at any time.

Jade Mountain is a techno-free zone. There are no televisions, radios or telephones. Guests are encouraged to limit their cell phones use, in keeping with the overall resort experience.  Internet access is available at the reception and wi-fi is available in the individual guest sanctuaries, upon request.

DINING
Maintaining its high standards, Jade Mountain has some of the best dining in the Caribbean. Besides the spectacular atmosphere, the resort provides exquisite culinary experiences with fresh ingredients imported daily.

The Jade Mountain Club caters exclusively to resident guests, celebrating James Beard Award winner, Chef Allen Susser’s “Jade Cuisine.” The restaurant is wrapped around an infinity pool with a dazzling kaleidoscope of colors and five star dining.

The Celestial Terrace hovers in space above the Jade Mountain Club. This is the perfect setting for sunset cocktails or star-gazing. It’s truly a breathtaking location with sweeping spectacular 360 degree views of St. Lucia.

Culinary options also include the St.Lucia- East Indian menu titled Apsara, a wholly vegetarian restaurant called Emerald’s, and the Jungle Grill for day time laid back dining on the resorts second beach, Anse Mamin, where you just have to try the grilled ribs and their famous burger.  Of course you can always order room service anytime.

SPA

All guests have the opportunity to relax in Kei En Ciel Spa. The spa menu offers treatments either inside or outside your sanctuary. Aromatherapy Herbal Wrap, Hot Stone Massage, Sea Weed Mud Wrap, The Alchemy of Two (a romantic ritual for couples) and many other treatments will keep your body and mind relaxed and peaceful.

THINGS TO DO
If you must leave your sanctuary, Jade Mountain offers a wide range of activities. Day sailing and sunset cruises will take you away to the middle of Caribbean Sea. Snorkel, Water sports, Scuba, Deep Sea Fishing – all are available on location.

You have access to two beaches just by going downstairs. There is the Anse Chastanet Beach Sunset Estate on property.

And just a boat ride away you have what seems like your very own private island at the second beach, Anse Mamin. At either beach you can enjoy a savory cocktail and tasty island fare comfort dining.
