Carín León is having his greatest year thus far. The trailblazing musician is the most nominated artist for this year’s Premios Juventud with nine nods, he has become the first Latino artist to secure a residency at Sphere Las Vegas, and his sold-out 2026 “De Sonora Para El Mundo” tour continues to make its away across North America, once again sponsored by Cerveza Victoria. We caught up with the musical superstar to discuss success, his current tour, and an exciting giveaway for fans given in conjunction with the classic Mexican beer brand.

Carín León sports the exclusive “Carín’s Cobija Jacket” designed by EQUIHUA in partnership with Victoria Beer. Fans 21+ in the 50 U.S. states and D.C. will have a chance to win the limited-edition “Carín’s Cobija Jacket” as part of the Victoria sweepstakes running August 11 through August 31.
León’s upcoming schedule includes international festival appearances in Osaka (August 14) and Tokyo (August 15), a multi-night residency at the Sphere from September 4 through September 13, followed by stops in San Jose, Los Angeles, San Diego, Denver, Seattle, wrapping up the U.S. in Portland, Oregon, on October 9. Fall dates have him heading into venues across Mexico through November.
Although considered primarily a “regional Mexican” performer León’s music crosses genres as evidenced by the success of collaborations with Maluma, Juanes, Camilo, Ramayana, moving on to Kane Brown, Jelly Roll, Leon Bridges, Cody Johnson and Kacey Musgraves, among many others.
With more than 28 million monthly plays on Spotify, and several billion streamed songs, his music is making an impact across the globe. Though it all his collaborations with Victoria remain constant.
Now Mexico’s oldest beer brand is reuniting with the Mexican singer-songwriter and longtime brand partner, as well as Mexican American artist Brenda Equihua, to design an exclusive jacket inspired by the classic Mexican cobija. It blends tradition and modern culture to create something truly original.
Just two jackets will be made: one for León himself, and the other to be won by one lucky fan along with a trip for two and tickets to a concert on the U.S. tour.
The limited-edition jackets blend León’s Mexican roots with Equihua’s design vision, featuring embroidery inspired by decorative stitching found on Mexican botas alongside the Sonoran desert’s warm earth tones, textures and imagery, all unified through Victoria’s brand aesthetic. The jacket also prominently displays a lion print, paying a personal tribute to León’s iconic nickname, “El León.”
HOMBRE: Congratulations! First, for the nine award nominations you have in Premios Juventud, then for being the first Latino with a residency at the Las Vegas Sphere, and of course, for the collaboration with Cerveza Victoria.
Carín León: Thank you very much.
Very happy, as always to collaborate with Victoria and for all the recognitions.
H: Let’s start with Victoria, you’ve had that association for a long time, but tell me about their involvement with the current tour.
CL: The truth is that with Victoria we have already been working on the tour for about three years.
There has been an association for many, many years because I am a big fan of the brand.
I’ve been drinking it for a long time, so it made a lot of sense to carry out this collaboration.
It’s been years of a beautiful relationship and of advancing our Mexican culture to all parts of the world.
H: And now they’re going to sponsor your entire tour, right?
CL: Yes, three years in a row.
The truth is that Victoria always ‘tira la casa por la ventana’ with us.
We are happy to be able to continue being allies in this important partnership that we have with them and above all that it’s a brand that has a lot to do with what I do, with our culture and Mexican pride.
H: It seems to me that it aligns very well with your principles and your way of living.
CL: Yes, the truth is that Victoria, as I said, has been present for a long time in my life, in my good times and my partying. I think it’s a brand that symbolizes perfectly and precisely what the Carín León project means.
H: What can people expect from this new tour?
CL: We have a very interesting and important production on this new tour. Apart from the fact that all the music we had been doing since the last tour was added, this is a completely audiovisual show, a completely different visual proposal, with many more screens, much more visuals, and giving a little twist to the music. We are trying to explore and encompass other genres and other sounds as well.
H: What else can people can expect?
CL: When you come and see it you’ll have a party. It goes hand in hand with Carín and Victoria, you’ll have pure enjoyment, you can’t expect anything else.
We love what we do, we love being able to experiment with this new proposal and see that people are receiving it with open arms.
H: Now, in the past you surprised your fans with a unique hat designed with Victoria. This time it’s a very cool jacket. Tell us about that.
CL: Well, it’s a small detail that we’re going to have with Victoria. Also a small detail that we are going to do for our fans and to all the people, to Carín fans, to Victoria’s fans, something they done with great love.
It’s very beautiful, they tell me that I have to give it away. They have to make one just like that for me too.
H: How did the idea of doing this come about?
CL: We have always connected with our fans, that’s the most important thing.
Just like Victoria we also try to always be connected. There is an important idiosyncrasy among our fans and above all what we want to contribute and bring to the table.
The fans have responded super well to us with this collaboration. It is a very special detail.

Fans 21+ in the 50 U.S. states and D.C. will have a chance to win the limited-edition “Carín’s Cobija Jacket” as part of the Victoria sweepstakes.
H: How can fans participate in this giveaway?
CL: There is a dynamic with the fans and we will choose the lucky one who takes the beautiful jacket.
Hopefully I’m going to tag myself with a fake profile to see if I win it (laughs).
Starting August 11 through August 31, fans 21+ in the 50 U.S./D.C can head to VictoriaUSA.com for the chance to win a night of Música Mexicana and a look to match.
The giveaway is part of the “Tu Victoria Está Aquí” campaign that recognizes how today’s generation of Mexican Americans actively embrace heritage and shape culture through music, fashion, food and more.
H: It’s a special prize because not only can they win the jacket, but they will also have the opportunity to attend a concert.
CL: Yes, it’s a complete VIP experience. They’ll get 2 tickets, hotel, and air transportation to a “De Sonora, Para el Mundo” concert. Above all, for us it’s a chance to be in contact with the people who make us continue to keep this dream alive.
H: You have so many collaborations that have been super successful, including the ones done in English. What’s one collaboration that you would like to do?
CL: There are many. The truth is that I have done a lot of things with people I admire, with many idols. Hopefully one day I will be able to do it with the master Chris Stapleton. There are many names, I’m a person who loves music a lot, so as long as music wins I always win too.
H: We started with the nominations for Premios Juventud that were recently announced and you have nine, how does it feel to be the most nominated artist?
CL: I’m happy with the recognition from the industry. Happy that people are so connected to us, with so much affection, to receive so much love. These are things that motivate you to continue putting more effort into it, to continue setting the bar high, and obviously you have to keep working to maintain these levels of of recognition, of excellence above all. The most important thing is to enjoy, enjoy all these recognitions and enjoy the moment.
H: Speaking of setting the bar high, what would you say is the secret to the success you’ve had?
CL: I think sincerity, honesty in music, not looking for hit songs. I think the artist that always lives wanting to have a top ten single or wanting to make a hit forgets a lot about why this dream started. I know that the last thing he wanted was to make a hit. I think it started out of the need to make music for any musician.
I still have that need, I still have that living dream of being able to continue experiencing my music. As a performer, as a creator, to continue searching, looking for my sound. I think that the simple fact of being more me than anything is what has led me to where I am. That makes me unique.
And there is no competition, nor am I fighting with myself or with anyone else now. I am simply bringing out what I have inside.
H: And when you started and were drinking Victoria, did you imagine doing a concert sponsored by them and having so many nominations and traveling the world with your music?
CL: The truth is that at the beginning of this dream we imagined much less. We had some goals that we passed a long time ago and you realize that the limit is the sky.
So we keep looking, always open up to new opportunities, new goals.
We are always very aware of where we want to go and working a lot. The culture of hard work makes anyone go anywhere.
H: What advice would you give someone who admires you and sees the success you have had, what advice could you tell him, in any career, let’s say, what is the key to success?
CL: There are many factors but one piece of advice is to never turn sideways and never turn outside without first turning inwards.
H: What do you anticipate most about this tour?
CL: A lot of success, a lot of happiness, a lot of drunkenness, a lot of Mexican partying.
Much enjoyment and the culmination of many dreams as well.
To be able to see this show already crystallized, already a reality, already staged means a lot for me. It means the effort of my colleagues, my own effort, the effort of all the people who are involved in it and are very happy to carry it out. We feel for us its like our new son.
H: Finally, Why do you like Victoria?
CL: Why not?
For any Mexican it’s a must, as we say.
Apart from that it’s our Sunday prize, after working all week (laughs).
H: So you will have a prize every night of the concert!
CL: (Laughs) With Victoria it will be a Chimengüenchón moment, as Mexicans would say.
