Latin Personalities Dance Off For Favorite Charities On “Mira Quién Baila All Stars”

The eight competitors of the All-star edition of Univision’s megahit dance competition “Mira Quién Baila” (Look Who’s Dancing! Or MQB) will show off their best moves on the dance floor for good causes starting Sunday at 8 p.m. ET/PT (7 p.m. CT) on Univision. The premiere will open with all contestants together onstage for a colorful dance extravaganza. Colombian reggaetón star Karol G will be the week’s musical guest.
The eight contestants will face off one-on-one as they seek to wow viewers and judges Beau “Casper” Smart (dancer/actor), Dayanara Torres (MQB 2017 winner) and Yuri (multitalented Mexican performer). Clarissa Molina and Chyno Miranda will groove to urban beats, while Denise Bidot and Iván Calderón will show off their salsa moves. Sherlyn and El Dasa will hit the floor to regional Mexican sounds, and Amara la Negra and Pedro Moreno will do the quickstep.
Contestants have designated the charities that will benefit from their performances. Univision will donate a total of $75,000 to the entities focused on a variety of causes, from healthcare to education to food security.
The competitors and their designated charities are:
- Pedro Moreno – The Cuban-American actor, model and MQB veteran will compete on behalf of Mother of Christ Catholic Church and School in Miami.
- Iván Calderón – The former professional boxer will donate his winnings to the Hospital del Niño in his native Puerto Rico.
- Chyno Miranda – The urban/pop music artist has designated the Alimenta Venezuela Foundation, which combats malnutrition in his homeland, as recipient of his prize money.
- Clarissa Molina – The Univision personality and “¡Qué León!” star will dance for the Monumento Viviente de Nueva York Foundation, which supports educational and humanitarian efforts in the Dominican Republic.
- El Dasa – The regional Mexican superstar, former MQB contestant and former “Nuestra Belleza Latina” judge, has directed his winnings to the César Chávez Foundation, which seeks to maintain and build on the Mexican-American labor icon’s legacy.
- Amara La Negra – The actress and singer will dance for the Dominican Women’s Development Center, which works to empower women and advance gender equality.
- Sherlyn – The Mexican singer/actress will dance for Teletón USA, which in turn supports the Children’s Rehabilitation Institute of Teletón USA (CRIT), an institution aiding children with neurological, muscular and skeletal disabilities.
- Denise Bidot – The former “Nuestra Belleza Latina” judge has designated the Ricky Martin Foundation, which works to combat the scourge of human trafficking, as recipient of her earnings from the show.
During this first gala evening, two contestants will be nominated for elimination and head for a popular vote via the Univision Conecta app.
All dances will be choreographed by Rodrigo Basurto and a team of professional dancers who have appeared in popular competition shows, such as “So You Think You Can Dance” and “Dancing with the Stars,” in U.S., Canada and Europe.
This six-episode season will be hosted by Chiquinquirá Delgado and Javier Poza .“Nuestra Belleza Latina” 2018 winner Migbelis Castellanos will have the latest from backstage.
