Starting on November 12th through the 16th, Los Cabos, one of Mexico´s most beautiful destinations, will host a forum for dialogue and collaboration between Mexican cinema and its North American cultural commercial partners. Los Cabos International Film Festival, is an event dedicated to the shared vision of this multicultural and vibrant region that brings international audiences bold, reflective and inspiring films year after year.

Strategic partners from Mexico, USA, Canada and friends from around the world will jointly build a platform for cultural and business exchange in the cinema field in this wonderful Baja California Sur location.

Some of the highlights include:

Reese Witherspoon to Attend Festival – The Festival will open on Wednesday, November 12 with Wild, starring Reese Witherspoon, who will also be in attendance to support the film’s Latin American premiere.

Posthumous Tribute to Roger Ebert – The Los Cabos International Film Festival Tributes Program will feature a posthumous homage to Roger Ebert. As part of the tribute and as a testament to the relevance of his legacy, the Festival will also premiere the Steve James’ documentary/Ebert biopic Life Itself, which celebrated its U.S. debut at Sundance earlier this year. As the festival’s guest of honor, his late wife, Chaz Ebert, will be present to receive the tribute. Chaz remains active as Editor-in-Chief of the The Ebert Company and Ebert Productions.

Rosario Dawson to Attend Festival – On Saturday, November 15th, Rosario Dawson will attend Los Cabos International Film Festival to present the Latin American premiere of Atom Egoyan’s The Captive and will have the honor to grant the Canadian tribute award to Mr. Egoyan himself. Dawson plays a detective in the film, which also stars Ryan Gosling.
