McDonald’s latest offering is a collaboration with Puerto Rican and Cuban reggaeton singer Mariah Angeliq, Argentine rapper, singer and songwriter Cazzu, and Venezuelan and LA-based visual artist Kelly Perez. The three Latina artists will come together to culminate Ritmo y Color, McDonald’s art and music experience created to fuel and celebrate Latino pride!
The program launched this summer in Miami and later made its way to Houston, where select McDonald’s restaurants in communities with deep Latino roots continue serving as canvases for Latino visual artists, who are transforming the restaurants into vibrant expressions of their culture. The art is also making its way into living rooms everywhere with free virtual concerts featuring some of today’s hottest Latin urban music stars.
A few additional details about the new collab below:
Virtual Concert: Music lovers everywhere are invited to join the (virtual) dance floor on Sunday, November 21 at 8:00pm ET (5:00pm PT) for the ultimate Latina performance! Puerto Rican and Cuban reggaeton singer Mariah Angeliq and Argentine rapper, singer and songwriter Cazzu will be hitting the center stage with a free virtual concert featuring some of their latest hits. Kelly Perez’s art will also be taking on a life of its own during the concert, giving fans a virtual space where fans can see, hear, and celebrate Latino culture.
Restaurant Takeover: First Miami, then Houston and now LA! LA-based Venezuelan visual artist, Kelly Perez, is turning a McDonald’s restaurant in East LA into a work of art. Her piece titled “Despierta Corazon Dormido” (Wake Up Sleeping Heart) will be on display starting Wednesday, November 10 and was inspired by her deep rooted love for all the people that have come and gone throughout her life, each leaving a unique imprint upon her.
