Miami’s Best Smashburgers Hit New York: Blackbird x Cowy Burger Pop-Up at The Standard Biergarten

Among the many food pop-ups in New York, this one stands out. Ben Leventhal’s latest venture Blackbird is bringing Miami‘s best smash burgers to NYC for the very first time with a three-day pop up at Meatpacking District’s summer outdoor space, The Standard Biergarten. The innovative restaurant app is showing up in true foodie fashion with the winners of the 2024 Burger Bash at South Beach Wine & Food Festival Cowy Burger, renowned for their Angus beef smash burgers with their signature bacon jam.

The Miami-based burger purveyors will be manning the grill at The Standard, High Line’s bustling, open-air beer garden from July 19-21, serving their famous Cowy Burger with a smashed patty, American cheese, bacon jam, and grilled onions with Cowy sauce.

Burgers are limited and will be first come-first serve until they sell out.

To gain entry, you’ll need your Blackbird x Cowy Burger access pass (available at blackbird.xyz/cowy) and a payment card on file in the Blackbird app. Simply check-in when you arrive and see for yourself if this burger’s worth the hunt.

POP-UP DATES:

  • Friday, July 19th: 4:00pm – 9:00pm
  • Saturday, July 20th: 12:00pm – 9:00pm
  • Sunday, July 21st: 12:00pm – 6:00pm

MENU:

  • Cowy Burger ($15 – 2024 Burger Bash Winner)
  • Waffle fries ($5): Cross cut fries and green sauce
  • Drinks available for purchase

Tucked under the trestles of the High Line, The Biergarten is The Standard, High Line’s bustling, street-level beer garden serving traditional German fare. Open-air in the summer, heated in the winter, come enjoy sausages, pretzels, beer and ping-pong, all year long.
