The AAA Five-Diamond Grand Velas Riviera Maya in Mexico has introduced two new extreme water sports offerings for thrill seekers to get their adrenaline pumping: Flyboarding and Kitesurfing.

Guided by instructors certified by the International Flyboard Association (IFA), the new Flyboarding offering allows guests to strap their feet on a personal watercraft and soar to heights of up to 55 feet above the Caribbean azure waters.

Guests can also obtain an International Kiteboarding Association (IKA) certificate. The certificate is available in three different levels, basic, intermediate, and advanced, where each level takes between two and a half to three hours to complete. Adventurers who only have time to complete one or two levels are able to finish their training with any other IKA affiliated member around the world.
