New Year’s Eve Tasting Menus & Specials in New York City

New Year’s Eve is a week away, now is the time to finalize your plans. If you’re looking for superb dining options we bring you some standout restaurants offering tasting menus and specials to experience and celebrate the end of 2022.
CASA TuLuM is the newly opened, stylish Mexican restaurant in the South Street Seaport focusing on seafood and coastal fare. On New Year’s Eve, they be offering an exclusive three-course tasting menu with seatings at 9:30 pm and 10 pm priced at $200 per person (not including beverages, tax, or gratuity). At midnight, a complimentary glass of champagne will be served along with party favors to ring in the New Year.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, CASA TuLuM will feature a live DJ starting at midnight spinning with a flare of Latin music as well as other genres.
The New Years’ Eve prix fixe menu from chef Rodrigo Abrajan will feature some of the restaurant’s innovative flavors with influences from the coastal regions of Tulum and the Yucatan Peninsula.
Highlights from the three-course prix fixe menu include, but are not limited to:
- Caviar Sope: Mini corn dough, huitlacoche, crispy epazote, and caviar.
- Lobster Ceviche: Passion fruit & lychee, fresh mango, chile de arbol, pomegranate seeds. And baked multigrain tostadas.
- Nopalitos: Tender cactus, onions, cilantro, radishes, roasted tomato, grilled queso panela champagne vinaigrette.
- Pato Con Mole: Duck confit, dark chocolate mole, and white rice.
- Pescado Verde: Halibut, purslanes, roasted tomatillo sauce.
- Chocolate Lava Cake: Mole, pine nuts, and toasted sesame ice cream.
Beverage Program
Created by Luis Villanueva, the beverage program features cocktails inspired by the natural beauty found along the Mexican coastline and expressed through seasonal ingredients and spices to pair with Chef Rodrigo’s cuisine. Standout options include: El Chingon; silver tequila, tamarind, serrano peppers, agave nectar, chipotle and habanero sea salt. Oaxacan Negroni, Mezcal Joven, Antica Formula Vermouth, Campari, and tangerine oils; and The Gold Digger, Clase Azul Añejo Tequila, Grand Mariner Cuvee Louis Alexandre, yuzu, organic blue agave nectar, 24 karat edible gold, and hickory campfire sea salt served in a souvenir glass.

Jungsik is the two-Michelin-starred from restaurant Chef/Owner Jung Sik Yim that laid the foundation for the wave of New Korean cuisine to take New York by storm when it opened in 2011. More than a decade into operation, Jungsik maintains its world-class service while the kitchen, now helmed by Executive Chef Daeik Kim, continues to reimagine Korean flavors with inventive plating. For New Year’s Eve, the restaurant will be serving a luxurious eleven-course tasting menu complete with options for standard and premium wine or champagne pairings that few restaurants could execute.
Highlights from the menu include but are not limited to:
- Languoustine, cooked over binchotan charcoal topped with ossetra caviar, and served over dongchimi and a smoked dongchimi sauce with anise oil.
- Nurungji Urchin, rice cooked with squid and squid ink, pressed into a hot cast iron plate to crisp the rice, and topped with Hokkaido urchin, garnished with micro shiso, Squid ink rice chips, crispy quinoa, and micro cabbage.
- White Truffle Kongguksu, an elevated take on a rustic Korean noodle dish served in a soybean and vegetable broth, finished with fermented tomato and crunchy buckwheat, layered with Alba white truffle
The experience is priced at $450 but memories with family and friends that Jungsik’s New Year’s Eve tasting menu will create are priceless. At the Michelin-recognized Sweetbriar, executive chef Bryce Shuman will be taking guests on a culinary journey with a five-course tasting dinner priced at $250 per person.
NYE reservations are available through Resy with seatings from 6 pm to 10 pm.
The restaurant’s NYE menu will focus on Chef Bryce’s live fire cooking; optional wine pairings and an extensive Champagne list will be available for diners to imbibe in style.
Sweetbriar’s Five-Course Tasting Menu Includes:
- Caviar and Potato Chips
- Scallop with Celery and Black Truffle
- Scottish Langoustine with Head Sauce and Rutabaga
- Roasted Foie Gras with Ham Hocks and Pickled Black Garlic (Supplemental $65)
- 64 Day Dry-Aged NY Strip, Black Trumpets, and Bone Marrow

Osteria Accademia is a cozy restaurant with a homey decor where it is easy to lose track of time over fine food, good wine, and friendly conversation. The restaurant is a perfect spot to ring in the New Year over a relaxing Italian meal with Mediterranean overtones with family or friends.

- Grilled Lamb Chops with a side of Artichokes, Dill, and Porcini Mushrooms for $35

- Profiterole Trio (Raspberry, Pistachio, and Pastry Cream) – $15
Osteria Accademia’s beverage program includes a selection of ten white wines, ten red wines, and three sparkling wines by the bottle and by the glass, all from the best wine-producing regions in Italy, as well as a well-curated list of Italian craft beers.

Osteria Accademia will be open their regular hours on New Year’s Eve: 5 pm to 10:30 pm. They will also be open on New Year’s Day from 5 pm to 10 pm.
