New York City Dining Options For New Year’s Day

If you’ll be in New York City this New Year’s Day start 2022 off right with these fine dining options. The restaurants below offer a wide range of cuisines with one thing in common, delicious food and excellent service.
Pekarna NY, located on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, will be open on New Year’s Day, serving brunch and dinner. Pekarna secured a special 24-hour permit for New Year’s Eve, which will allow the kitchen to remain open through New Year’s Day, where besides brunch, they will be providing their usual dinner service as well as takeout and delivery.
Pekarna NY features contemporary Slovenian-American cuisine led by Executive Chef Kamal Hoyte and Consulting Pastry Chef Alma Rekvic. Hoyte honed his skills by working with some of the most renowned chefs in the city at Oceana Restaurant and Restaurant Daniel. Not to be out done is Pastry Chef Rekvic, who was the Chief Judge on Master Chef Slovenia, who was brought to Pekarna to design Slovenian-inspired desserts, as Slovenia is well known for their sweets.

Limani New York will be open on New Year’s Dayfrom 12 pm – 11 pm with their menu available for both takeout and delivery.
Limani New York is the stunning Greek-Mediterranean dining destination located in the heart of Rockefeller Center. Helmed by Executive Chef-Partner M.J. Alam, Limani creates a truly exceptional experience for its guests, highlighting clean Mediterranean flavors spotlighting whole fish flown in daily from the Mediterranean. Upon entering, the guests will find themselves whisked away to the islands of Greece. Marked by a white marble bar, one will find an expansive dining room with high ceilings and white leather seating and a beautiful blue infinity pool. At Limani one will find an impeccably curated selection of specialty cocktails and a global wine list.

Tasca, on the Upper West Side, will be open for on New Year’s Day from 3 pm – 11 pm with their menu available for both takeout and delivery.
At Tasca, the focus is on the Iberian Peninsula in Spain, and the Caribbean islands of Cuba, the Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico, a melting pot of Spanish, Latin Caribbean flavors, showcasing how the flavors from the related cultures can work together in new and interesting ways. The restaurant’s beverage program incorporates a spirits list which includes over 100 varieties of premium rums. Additionally, Tasca has the capacity to properly serve over 400 wines. The list is 80% Spanish with others from locales including Napa Valley, Provence and New Zealand. The sprawling multi-level space provides two more dining rooms downstairs which includes a wine cellar room for special events.

Tuscany Steakhouse, located in the heart of Central Park South, will be open on New Year’s Day from 4 pm – 10:30 pm with their menu available for both takeout and delivery.
Tuscany Steakhouse is owned by veteran restaurateur Steve Haxhiaj, an alumnus of Wolfgang’s Steakhouse. The restaurant represents a more rounded cuisine experience to their patrons with a menu marrying Italian American fare and the classic American steakhouse. Their main attraction presents itself in the form of Tuscany Steakhouse’s USDA Prime Dry-Aged Steaks, which are dried in the restaurant’s signature aging box. The restaurant’s interior is dimly lit, with white-washed brick and roman arches trimmed with rich oak and embodies a rustic old world European ambiance that is both cozy and welcoming. The wine list features over 300 new and old-world wines.

Sapphire Cuisines of India, located on the Upper West Side, will be open on New Year’s Day from 5 pm – 10 pm with their menu available for both takeout and delivery.
The restaurant has turned to veteran restauranteur, Darshan R. Shah to relaunch the restaurant. To implement his culinary vision for Sapphire, Shah has brought on Executive Chef, Sachin Wagh formerly the Executive Chef at adä, who received his formal training from the French Culinary Institute, and together have introduced a prix-fixe dinner menu that combines Western ingredients with traditional Indian flavors creating an Avant Garde Indian dining experience as well as maintaining the restaurant’s traditional Indian offerings.

Madam Ji, located in Greenwich Village, will be open on New Year’s Day from 12 pm – 4 pm for brunch and from 5 pm – 10:30 pm for dinner, with their menus available for both takeout and delivery.
Madam Ji offers modern interpretations of traditional Indian flavors for an elevated after work dinner or a boisterous, Bollywood-inspired weekend brunch. The restaurant has bright colors, bold art, a modernized menu and a brand-new identity. To compliment a menu full of flavor and spice, Madam Ji offers crisp and refreshing cocktails and the delicious betel leaf ice cream, Paan Kulfi, for dessert. Madam Ji is the vision of Chef/Owner Abishek Sharma, who also owns Swagat (Upper West Side), Badshah (Hell’s Kitchen) and Dabangg (Financial District).
