Piña Colada For Independence Day

Since many of us won’t be traveling this summer, channel some of your favorite summer memories with a refreshing and tropical cocktail. You can enjoy one of the season’s most iconic drinks with Don Q Rum and just a few ingredients at home. National Piña Colada Day is July 10 so why not celebrate early.
July is the unofficial month of rum. This Independence Day imagine yourself in the tropics and prepare a delicious a Piña Colada. Close your eyes, play some tunes and find yourself “en la Isla del Encanto.”
This drink originally hails from Don Q’s native Puerto Rico and has been enjoyed by folks all over the world for more than 60 years. This is the Island’s favorite cocktail. Here’s a twist on the classic, with a light and refreshing version that’s shaken and not frozen.
Piña De Lite
Ingredients:
2 oz Don Q Piña Rum
2 oz Coconut water
½ oz Lime juice
2 Fresh strawberries
1 Lime wheel
Campari*
Preparation:
Add rum, coconut water, lime juice, and strawberries into a Boston shaker and muddle. Add ice and shake.
Strain into a coupe class.
Garnish with lime wheel.
Add bar spoon of Campari
*Garnish at your discretion
