This year, during a very raining evening, approximately one million revelers crowded Times Square to ring in the New Year with bejeweled and festive New Year’s Eve party hats and balloons decked out in purple and yellow – Planet Fitness’ signature colors. Planet Fitness was also be featured on “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2019″ – with a presence in New York and Los Angeles – as well as on the Times Square 2019 webcast throughout the night.

In addition to the New Year’s Eve celebration, this year Planet Fitness organized a competition and invited everyone to enter the Planet Fitness “Get Down to Win” video contest for a chance to win $10,000. Users were invited to submit a 30-second (or less) dance video showing how they plan to “Get Down” in true “Judgement Free” style in the New Year. Entrants could download one of five pre-selected music tracks to use as the “tune-spiration” for their video jam, then upload their creation to the “Get Down to Win” microsite. With all entries in, now it’s the public that gets to vote on five video finalists this month, and the grand prize winner will receive $10,000. Additional prizes, including one-year Planet Fitness memberships and a Planet Fitness prize pack (valued at more than $1,000 and featuring a smart watch, wireless headphones, a $250 gift card and more) will be awarded to all finalists.
