Premios Juventud Celebrates Hispanic Music, Culture, and Global Influence Live from Panama for the First Time

Univision’s Premios Juventud 2025 made history with a dazzling live telecast from Panama City, marking the first time the iconic awards show was held outside the U.S. territory. The hottest night of the year celebrated the best in Latin music, culture, and entertainment, spotlighting artists, changemakers, and the vibrant sounds of Latin America.

Carlos Vives and Myke Towers received the coveted “Agent of Change” award for leading cultural and sustainability efforts in Colombia and youth advocacy and social Impact across Latin America, respectively.

Among the biggest winners of the year across music, television, digital, and pop culture are:

  • Bad Bunny took home three awards, including Best Urban Track (“DTMF”), Best Urban Mix (“Adivino”), and Best Urban Album (“Debí Tirar Más Fotos”).
  • Pop-rock group Morat earned Favorite Group or Duo of the Year, Best Pop/Rock Song (“Me Toca a Mí”), and Best Pop Album (“Ya Es Mañana”).
  • Colombian sensation Karol G was recognized as Premios Juventud Artist of the Year and scored Tropical Hit of the Year with “Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido.”
  • Representing Mexican music, Carín León won Best Mexican Music Song (“El Amor de Mi Herida”) and Best Mexican Music Album (“Boca Chueca, Vol.1”)
  • The digital world also took the spotlight, with creators such as  Los Chicaneros (Best LOL), and Luisito Comunica (#ModoAvión) among the winners.
  • Fan-favorite telenovela “El Extraño Retorno de Diana Salazar” swept the TV and streaming categories with Sebastián Rulli named My Favorite Actor and Angelique Boyer honored as My Favorite Actress; both also won the Me Enamoran category.

Hosted by Alejandra Espinoza, Clarissa Molina, and Nadia Ferreira, Premios Juventud 2025 delivered an electrifying lineup of global premieres, historic collaborations, and unforgettable tributes. The show recognized fan favorites across 41 categories spanning music, television, streaming, and social media, and representing today’s ever-expanding musical tastes.
Among the standout moments of PJ’s 22nd Edition were:

A powerful opening number honoring the country’s musical legacy featured Boza, Dímelo Flow, Farruko, Los Rabanes, Nando Boom, Natti Natasha, Samy & Sandra Sandoval, Sech, and Willie Colón, performing songs “La Murga,” “Ellos Benia Dem Bow,” and “Gallina Fina.”

  • Carlos Vives, Sergio George, and Grupo Niche surprised the audience with a medley of “Fabricando Fantasias and “La Tierra del Olvido.”
  • Colombian singer-songwriter Camilo returned to the PJ stage with his hit “Una Vida Pasada” and premiered “Me Toca a Mí,” alongside Morat, who also performed “Sin Ti.”
  • Pop sensation from Argentina, Emilia, energized the stage with a medley of “Bunda” and “Perfectas.”
  • Myke Towers delivered a high-energy set of hits, including “Soleao,” “Expectativa,” “Tengo Celos,” and “Degenere.”
  • Panamanian singer-songwriters Erika Ender, duo Gaitanes, and Omar Alfanno joined forces for a special moment featuring “A Puro Dolor,” “Muy Dentro de Mi,” and “Despacito.”
  • Marc Anthony and reggaeton superstar Wisin delivered the exhilarating global premiere of “Que Me Quiera Ma.”
  • Hispanic Heritage Foundation Legend Award recipient and Latin America’s top touring Female artist, Gloria Trevi sang “Súfrale,” alongside Grupo Firme, who also performed their hit “El Beneficio de la Duda.”
  • Silvestre Dangond and Fonseca teamed up to feature “Vestido Rojo” and the unreleased song “La Indiferencia.”
  • Dominican superstar Natti Natasha revealed the gender of her baby during the debut of “Traje Aquí,” accompanied by La Sinfónica Juvenil Nacional.
  • Colombian superstar Maluma featured his new single, “Bronceador,” with a special appearance by Ariadna Gutiérrez.
  • Farruko performed “Oe Oe,” alongside Makaco El Cerebro and Louis BPM, as well as “Pancc” and “Canaima,” from their collaborative album “167BPM,” for the first time on television.
  • Emerging Venezuelan duo Alleh & Yorghaki made their television debut with their hit “Capaz (merengueton),” winner of the Tropical Mix category.
  • Additional highly anticipated debuts came from Camila Fernández, Esaú Ortiz, Kevin Aguilar, Lola Indigo, Mari La Carajita, and Xavi.
