“Premios Juventud” Delivers Maximum Star Power To This Year’s Awaited Edition

From Latin pop to regional Mexican music, the confirmed line-up of performers of Univision’s “Premios Juventud” represents diversity of Latin music and culture, as well as a mix of the hottest artists and artists on the rise. The 4-hour broadcast will air LIVE from Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot on July 21 at 7 p.m. ET/ 6 CT on Univision.
Under the theme “Celebra Tu Pasión” (Celebrate Your Passion), this 19th edition of “Premios Juventud” will feature special performances and collaborations, as well as unforgettable summer hits performed for the first time on TV.
The participating artists include:
- Ángela Aguilar: With 7 nominations including the newly added category of Female Artist – On the Rise, Aguilar is among the most nominated of the night and will delight us on stage with her music.
- CNCO: The mega popular band will perform for the first time on TV one of their newest hits. CNCO has 2 nominations this year including Favorite Group or Duo of the Year.
- Grupo Firme: One of the most nominated of the night, Grupo Firme, will delight regional Mexican fans with performances of their latest hits: “El Tóxico,” “En Tu Perra Vida,” and more. Grupo Firme has 7 nominations this year.
- Kenia Os: The popular Mexican content creator and singer is joining as a first-time PJ performer with a very special presentation
. - Danna Paola: Internationally recognized actress and singer makes her debut as PJ host this year and takes the stage to captivate fans with her music. Danna Paola has 3 nominations.
- Lenin Ramírez: The beloved Mexican regional star will be part of a special performance, and has been nominated for Best Regional Mexican Collaboration.
- Mau y Ricky: The chart-topping Latin duo return to the stage to perform their hit “Mal Acostumbrao,” and for the first time on TV their latest single “LLorar y Llorar.” They have 2 PJ nominations.
- Prince Royce: Global bachata idol and winner of 20 PJ awards, Prince Royce, will debut as host, and deliver a vibrant performance on stage.
“Premios Juventud” will be hosted by Eduin Caz, Clarissa Molina, Danna Paola, and Prince Royce. While the pre-show “Noche de Estrellas,” the most dynamic and entertaining red carpet show, will be hosted by Carlos Ponce, Karina Banda, José Figueroa, Jomari Goyso, Roberto Hernández, Kiara Liz, and Borja Voces.
The Awards will bestow the prestigious “Agent of Change” award to the reggaeton duo Wisin y Yandel, recognizing them as artists who are using their star power to drive change in the Latin community and the world by contributing to music and humanitarian social causes.
“Premios Juventud” is preparing a celebration like no other in la isla del encanto, adding more summer hits performed for the first time on TV including the viral sensation “Pantysito,” a collaboration by Alejo, Feid,and Robi, as well as an unforgettable performance by the new generation of Tropical artists: Manny Cruz, Luis Figueroa, Yahaira Plasencia, Michael Stuart, and Luis Vázquez, celebrating the legendary music of El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico including songs “Que Le Pongan Salsa,” “No Hay Cama Pa’ Tanta Gente,” and “La Fiesta De Pilito,” under the musical direction of the salsa master Sergio George.
- El Alfa: The influential Dominican rapper, one of the most nominated of the night, will return to the stage at PJ performing his greatest hits including “Gogo Dance,” “La Mamá de la Mamá,” and “La Romana.” El Alfa has 6 nominations this year.
- Manny Cruz: The popular Dominican singer and nominee for “Tropical Mix” will delight fans with his song “Santo Domingo,” and participate in the special performance celebrating El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico.
- Feid: The recognized Colombian urban singer has 2 nominations, including Male Artist – On the Rise, and will make his debut on the “Premios Juventud” stage with the first TV performance of “Pantysito” in collaborating with Alejo and Robi.
- Luis Figueroa: The Latin pop sensation returns to “Premios Juventud” after 2016 performing his song “Vienes” and to take part in the memorable performance celebrating El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico.
- Sergio George: Returning to “Premios Juventud”, the legendary salsa master takes the stage with his piano and directs a group of new generation Tropical artists in performing the greatest hits of El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico.
- Yahaira Plasencia: Performing at “Premios Juventud” for the first time, the queen of urban salsa performs “La Cantante” and joins the new generation of Tropical artists in the night’s special performance of El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico
- Michael Stuart: The next generation salsa singer and Tropical artist will light the stage with his popular song “Bailemos,” and takes part in the special performance dedicated to El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico’s greatest hits.
- Luis Vázquez: The young salsa singer has received his first “Premios Juventud” nominations in the categories of Tropical Hit and The New Generation-Male. Vázquez will perform his song “Tu Fan” and join the new generation of tropical artists celebrating the unforgettable music of El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico under the direction of Sergio George.
- Wisin y Yandel: The reggaeton duo has 3 nominations this year including Favorite Band or Duo of The Year, and has been honored with the prestigious “Agents of Change” award for their incredible contributions to music and humanitarian social causes that have driven change in the world.
Bringing fans a true behind-the-scenes experience of “Noche de Estrellas,” the most dynamic and entertaining red carpet show, hosts Arana Lemus and Migbelis Castellanos will take over the Official PJ Instagram @PremiosJuventud at 6:30 p.m. ET and interview all the artists walking the carpet. Univision will also be live on TikTok with Lindsay Casinelli and Sirey Morán bringing the inside scoop from the magenta carpet of “Premios Juventud.” The TikTok LIVE will begin at 6 p.m. Eastern Time, showcasing the pre-ceremony atmosphere, artist looks and guest interviews.
