Reserva Conchal Beach Resort, Golf & Spa – the luxury resort on Costa Rica’s scenic northwestern Pacific coast – will host the final round of 2018 Guanacaste Classic on July 22 on its Robert Trent Jones II golf course. Perched on the edge of Costa Rica’s northern Pacific Coast on the white sands of Playa Conchal, the golf resort is the jewel of the Guanacaste region. Spanning 2,300 acres, it is home to the all-inclusive Westin Golf Resort & Spa Play Conchal, luxurious vacation residences and Costa Rica’s most renown golf course.

The 16th edition of the tournament, which occurs July 20-22, offers four flights based on official United States Golf Association handicaps. The first round will occur at the Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica at Peninsula Papagayo. The following day, the Hacienda Pinilla Beach Resort hosts the second round.

“We are pleased to once again host the final round of the Guanacaste Classic, as it is one of the premier tournaments in the region,” says Carlos Rojas Soto, Director of Golf of Reserva Conchal. “The tournament boasts a full field and a wonderful roster of golf courses that will provide myriad challenges.”

The sporty, par-71 Reserva Conchal design meanders between the azure Pacific Ocean waters and lush greens of the neighboring “dry” tropical forest, exposing players to a variety of elements. The returning nines feature ocean vistas with unforgettable holes winding through lakes, rugged ravines and rolling hills.

Golfweek and Golf Digest Magazines recently named Reserva Conchal the top golf course in Costa Rica. Reserva Conchal also was the first course in Costa Rica bestowed certification by Audubon International. It boasts a world-class practice facility and learning center with four green complexes, bunkers, chipping and approach areas, and an expansive practice tee.

Earlier this May, the course was the site of the PGA TOUR Latinoamerica’s Essential Costa Rica Classic. Earlier this May, Reserva Conchal was the site of the PGA TOUR Latinoamerica’s Essential Costa Rica Classic. Reserva Conchal hosted the inaugural tournament in 2017, which was Costa Rica’s first PGA TOUR event in more than 30 years.
