South Beach may be the center of the action in South Florida, thriving with restaurants, shops and nightclubs; yet in the middle of all this craziness is an oasis of luxury, serene comfort and classic style. Welcome to the Ritz Carlton South Beach.
Located on Collins Avenue, right at the start of Lincoln Road, The Ritz Carlton South Beach stands out as a haven for anyone looking for the best accommodations, a central location and unrivaled elegance. Of course we’re all familiar with the Ritz Carlton brand, and the South Beach property maintains the standards that have made it a favorite among celebrities, luxury travelers and those seeking only the best.
What you first notice stepping into the lobby is the attention to detail… and the impressive art collection. Sitting areas and walls are decorated with over $2 million worth of art by established and emerging artists.
The works expand throughout the property making their way to your suite – mine had an original signed Miro print.
The Ritz Carlton South Beach offers 375 luxurious guest rooms, including two poolside lanai wings in the style of early Miami Beach. If you’re looking for business amenities the property has more than 20,000 total square feet of meeting and conference facilities.
When you stay here, include the spa in your itinerary. Taking up 16,000-square-foot of space and with 14 treatment rooms, relaxation lounges, a full-service salon and two couples suites it’s a necessity. The physiotherapists are more than willing to make the stress from that early morning meeting all but disappear.
There is a special menu for hombres. We recommend the Juniper Muscle Soothing Treatment or the Four Hands Massage. It’s noteworthy to mention that The Ritz-Carlton Spa, South Beach has been voted as the Best Day Spa in Miami.
Accommodations at the Ritz Carlton South Beach are more than comfortable. They start at 375 and go up to 2,800 square feet, all offering great views of the Atlantic Ocean, or South Beach. Each room is luxuriously appointed with contemporary, warm furnishings, generously sized desks, iPod docking stations, computer and fax hookups, goose down and non-allergenic foam pillows, 100% cotton linens and marble baths.
As for dining options, you don’t need to go far. The DiLido Beach Club offers ocean-table cuisine with a selection of seafood and small plates.
The Lobby Bar is a relaxed and vibrant spot perfect for socializing, sipping cocktails and enjoying light bites. Bistro One LR is an American bistro infused with Spanish flavors. And the Lapidus Lounge, named after the famed architect Morris Lapidus – who designed the hotel when it was built in the 50s, serves specialty cocktails, light bites and sushi.
Other amenities, optional with your stay, include elevated outdoor pool and private day beds, 24-hour room service, valet parking, limousine services and personal shoppers.
