Love is in the air, on the beach and everywhere for romantic couples in Mexico’s Riviera Nayarit this Valentine’s Day season. With 192 miles of gorgeous coastline, the destination is ideal for those looking to spend a one-of-a-kind romantic vacation in an exotic and secluded paradise setting. Many of the area’s hotels are offering special romance-centered packages for couples that when paired with unique experiences found in the destination, set the stage for a romantic getaway like no other.
See below a guide to spending Valentine’s Day in Riviera Nayarit this year:
One&Only Mandarina
The newest addition to One&Only’s collection of ultra-luxury resorts, One&Only Mandarina introduces elevated romantic luxury to a rare and undeveloped stretch of coastline along the Riviera Nayarit. For an intimate celebratory dinner, couples are invited to Dinner with La Abuela – the resort’s iconic “grandmother” Higuera Blanca Tree, believed to be 235 years old. As guests settle in to dine underneath the vast canopy, the culinary team led by Executive Chef Olivier Deboise prepares a wholesome five-course plant-based menu inspired by the destination’s bounty. From Salmorejo (a classic soup) made with avocado, black beans, chickpea and walnut chorizo to savoury huitlacoche, chard and oyster mushroom tacos and much more, the menu calls upon the flavors of the Riviera Nayarit to delight and awe. Guests can also indulge in a wine pairing, discovering natural wines sourced by the resort’s Food & Beverage Director Sebastian de Vizcaya.
