Less than two years after Rolls–Royce Motor Car announced to the world its move towards electrification, the brand has revealed its first fully electric offering to North America during Monterey Car Week 2023.
Spectre featuring a beautiful Aero two-tone finish of Black over Morganite made its first North American public appearance during ‘The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering.’ 23-inch seven spoke partial polished wheels provide a solid and stunning foundation for the exterior design.
The Cashmere interior featuring Scivaro Grey highlights and Obsidian Ayous wood also showcases the debut of Starlight Doors and illuminated fascia on this commission. The debut is hosted by Rolls–Royce Motor Cars NA President, Martin Fritsches and Global Chief Executive Officer, Torsten Müller-Ötvös.
Spectre marks the start of new era for super luxury motoring, Rolls–Royce 3.0. Spectre has undergone more than 1.5 million miles and fifty thousand hours of testing and refining worldwide. The guiding principle was to create a super coupé that was irrefutably a Rolls–Royce first, and electric vehicle second.
Built on the brand’s proprietary ‘Architecture of Luxury,” Spectre delivers the quietest Rolls–Royce’s ‘magic carpet ride’ ever. Using the flexible the architecture, engineers were able to incorporate the 1500-pound battery structure to soundproofing design and creating a more rigid structure. The latest generation of the Rolls–Royce Planar system ultimately enhances the drive and effortless handling of Spectre, making it a perfect Rolls–Royce.
The Rolls–Royce Spectre embodies the essence of unparalleled luxury and timeless beauty, fused with cutting-edge technology and groundbreaking engineering including SPIRIT, a completely redesigned digital architecture connecting the client with their car more closely than ever.
Spirit offers an elegant familiar interface that for the first time will enable clients to extend their Bespoke commission into the digital realm including selecting the color of instrument dials to complement their interior design. Spirit also integrates with Whispers, the marque’s digital app that enables owners to unlock a wide range of vehicle and lifestyle related information and opportunities.
Rolls–Royce Motor Cars welcomed Spectre to the North American family with two special commissions of Ghost and Cullinan.
Ghost is presented in Tucana Purple and Coachline in Lime Green. The Part Polished Shadow Wheels are adorned with Pinstripe Tires. The interior features Grace white handcrafted leather with Lime Green accents and a Grace White Illuminated Fascia with Piano White veneer.
Black Badge Cullinan is presented in Iced Gunmetal exterior including exclusive Black Badge Wheels. The Grace White and Black interior is complemented with mandarin highlights and the Black Badge technical Fibre designs. This commission includes a Bespoke Woven Metal Fascia and the recently introduced Starlight Tailgate.
To offer a complete Rolls–Royce concours experience, Cullinan includes a Grace White Viewing Suite and will highlight Rolls–Royce Bespoke Picnic Hamper.
Spectre’s is a true four-seater, with a rear compartment designed to cosset passengers in a luxurious ‘art lounge.’ A beautiful combination of classic luxury craftsmanship and technology including stunning highlights of light with the iconic Starlight Headliner now extends for the first time to Starlight Doors with 4,796 ‘stars’ illuminating the interior. Spectre’s Illuminated Fascia is the work of more than 10,000 hours of development to refine the 5,500 stars surrounding the illuminated nameplate.
The Rolls–Royce Bespoke Design Collective has developed new colors and wood finishes for clients to make each commission a personal expression. Spectre’s captivating presence showcases Rolls–Royce’s world-leading expertise in handcraftsmanship and luxury excellence.
