RUNWAY 7 Returns To NYFW With 110 Designers From 16 Nations + Showcasing Spring / Summer ’24 Collections

Runway 7, a fashion incubator which highlights emerging brands and designers will return to New York Fashion Week for the Spring / Summer 2024 season, with 4 full days of energetic runway shows – including a lineup of 110 brands from over 16 countries – live events, and activations from Thursday, September 7 through Sunday, September 10, 2023 at Sony Hall at 235 W 46th Street.
The only hybrid platform of its kind, Runway 7 is a vertical world-class platform for both renowned brands and independent designers alike, offering an experiential opportunity for designers to directly engage with media, celebrities, industry insiders, buyers, and customers both in-person and online. From development to the runway to retail stores – Runway 7 takes a 360-degree approach in working with its brand partners.
For its fifth season, Runway 7 will be partnering with Jake Resnicow, as host to Dreamland After Dark at Sony Hall on Saturday, September 9th. This event will open with presentations by designers such as Oscar Utierre, Kentaro Kameyama, Lewis Beilharz and Ren Haixi.
Returning is the sportswear brand Actively Black for men and women, owned by former NBA basketball player, Lanny Smith, will be returning this season. The brand will launch their upcoming collection live in tandem with their runway show, which will pay homage to the 50th Anniversary of Hip Hop. New emerging streetwear designers include INCIVION and Compton Kidz Club, which will feature Russell Westbrook as a special guest.
Runway 7 will showcase the best in eco-friendly fashion, highlighting brands such as Tara Bhuyan Couture, Inspired D’Signs, Avery Swim, among many more.
Custom couture and bridal brand Designer Dream Collection will be a “stun” during Runway 7’s “new Bridal hour.” High-end couture brand Tykorchélli which is made in Italy and Saima Chaudhry, a New York-based brand for men and women which specializes in couture pieces will also be presenting their new collections.
International brands showing their Spring / Summer 2024 collections at Runway 7 during New York Fashion Week will also include Elizabeth Muñoz, a Peruvian brand focusing on bridal gowns which show will be hosted by Miss Peru Universe Camila Escribens, Kish Jeane, a Jordanian fashion brand specializing in wearable art and dresses; Aden Hijab, an Indonesian brand whose focus will be in flowy dresses, headscarves, and hijabs paying homage to their roots; Michelle for Bad Girls, a Colombian lingerie company that supports local makers in Colombia; Wakilisha Collection, a bespoke African suits company for men and women which includes bright and bold print patterns, among other brands.
Philanthropy continues to be at the core of everything Runway 7 produces as well. After this season, Runway 7 is hoping to reach up to $100,000 in charitable donations to Mount Sinai’s Corinne Goldsmith Dickinson Center for Multiple Sclerosis, to whom a portion of all virtual and live door proceeds have been donated and continue to be pledged every season.
